We went there for my hen night and the staff was Brilliant. Can not thank them enough for what that did for us thank you busters and we will be back xxx

We came in for breakfast today, and we were delighted with the lovely customer service from everybody. The lady behind the bar was so friendly, and the men who were sorting the breakfast station for everybody were really nice too! The man who was wearing chef's clothing, (we didn't catch his name but I believe he's from Liverpool) just couldn't do enough for us, and showed outstanding customer service. We will definitely be coming back, and thank you very much for a very pleasant visit ’┐Į

Great music great atmosphere and good for adults young and not so young

Came in on a Saturday and don't know the young blonde bar lads name but as he made my fishbowl he found out there was no jelly babies or skittles left so found some mini meringues and cadburys roses and put them on. Safe to say best cocktail ive had :D Thanks blonde haired guy

Been in bout 8times now brilliant but bit confused.had 3breakfasts over last couple weeks went in wednesday 2 x breakfasts ┬Ż7(sign still says 3.45) then asked for couple slices plain bread and told 50p

Since when?

Sounds petty but only open short while and no warnings bout price change an add ons

Still be back though .lads doin brekkies sound cant do enough.felt embarrassed for scouse when told me had to charge for bread(no butter as bad for ya lol)

Amazing place just come back from 2 dayŌĆÖs away we spent most of the time in here

Breakfast was to die for & entertainment brilliant from meatloaf to everything played after & real bonus when a free buffet at midnight definitely be back soon ’┐Į’┐Į

OK, so it was the "All You Can Eat" breakfast that brought me in, so this review will be based on that. I haven't been in yet during the evening or as part of a night out (yet).



First impressions, very good. I liked the framed photos of the previous building as it was the morning after the fire that are hung in the entrance, paying homage to a bit of the towns history. That is immediately followed by a full sized Batman figurine, introducing us to the movie theme of the pub. All in all the place is tastefully decorated and furnished.



The lady behind the bar was very friendly and efficient, giving the instruction to help ourselves after taking payment for the food and drinks upfront. So I did. The hotplate was unattended, so I lent around, grabbed a plate and proceeded to help myself to all of the different foods that make up a traditional Full English. It was at this point that a chef appeared, what should have happened is that I should have presented him with the recipe, and he should have given me a plate. I should have waited but I'm an impatient git (especially when I'm hungry), and there was no sign saying to do so. The food itself was pretty good, no toast, and the black pudding wasn't particularly nice, but the eggs - both scrambled and fried were very good. For ┬Ż3.45 I can't complain.



After polishing off the first plate full I got up for a second. The hotplate was again unattended, so I set about helping myself again using a napkin to remove the lids off of the pots as they were hot. This is a petty criticism but one that's worth making - its a fath holding the plate whilst removing a hot lit, taking food, then replacing the hot lid again repeatedly. There is no good place to put down your plate, you have a choice between balancing it on the tray bars that are attached to the front of one hotplates, but not the other, or the hotplate itself. Its a pain in the ass! And despite the careful use of a napkin I still managed to burn one of my fingers, but I'm a big boy, I could deal with it.



In conclusion it was very good, but with some room for improvement, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Would I come back? Absolutely! Tomorrow in fact, as I'm in Skeg anyway so why not?

Great atmosphere - band was excellent. Although carpets were very sticky and was difficult to walk on. Also I was short changed after purchasing 2 drinks wasnŌĆÖt by a lot but still. On busy evenings staff should always check change and I would definitely advise customers now also.

In my opinion it is Starting to look scruffy already and in need of a deep clean , went in 7pm in the evening the carpet would definitely win fist prize for being the stickiest ever, drinks and bar service were OK but could not sit on the outdoor furniture as it to was filthy
