Beauty & The Beast Afternoon Tea at Half Term We know it seems a way off, but next year's Pantomime at the Concordia Theatre is Beauty and The Beast. We will be doing themed afternoon teas during Pantomime season - however - The Concordia has kindly offered to lend us some props during half term (15th to 19th October) - so if you'd like to book your little people in for a themed afternoon tea during this time, please give us a call. The cost is £6.95

Beautiful tea room and most definitely worth the almost 200mile trip, ( will see you again in August ) x

What a wonderful experience from the minute you walk in to the minute you pay the bill.....

Food is just fantastic, sandwiches were so fresh and the homemade cakes and scones are amazing, the dessert was gorgeous.

The surroundings are homely and the staff cannot do enough for you.

Well woth a visit and definatley value for money.

Visited for the first time today to have an afternoon tea Peter Rabbit style! Was really lovely. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, making us all feel very welcome. Our 5 and 2 year old had a wonderful afternoon tea with rabbit shaped sandwiches and delicious sweet treats. We ate off the menu and the food was delicious. Definitely be back. A fab little find!!

Visited Buttercream for the first time on 20th April, there were 5 of us celebrating my Mum's 87th birthday. Despite being quite difficult to find (but that's because I don't know Hinckley town centre), we were delighted with everything about it - fantastic food, great service and so reasonably priced. They even decorated the table up for her birthday. We had a lovely afternoon and they didn't rush us out even though they should have closed at 4.00pm, must have been nearer 4.30pm when we left. I would recommend this place with no hesitation and will definitely be going back!! Jill. 22.04.18.

Spent a lovely couple of hours here yesterday with my Sister's and daughter celebrating my mums 87th birthday. The food and service were fabulous!! It was so reasonable as well.

My mum , Gran, 2 daughters (1 a baby) and myself. came to visit your loverly tearoom yesterday afternoon . We had called to book the day before and we had mentioned that my mother had a intolerance to cream and dairy . We thought we would give you a heads up just incase ..... well what can I say . You had made my mum her very own afternoon tea . Everything made from scratch . She was so happy as she would normally just get thobbed off with fruit and a couple more sandwiches . You had actually made her sausage rolls and puddings that wouldn’t usually be on the afternoon tea ☺️ And for the little ones afternoon . That was up to scratch aswel. Truly amazing experience . Me and my now husband had our wedding reception at Buttercream and I honestly can't describe how perfect it was...we had decided to have a small intimate reception with 27 guests, and wanted something more informal than a sit down hotel type meal/ venue, so we had decided on afternoon tea.

I had been there for an afternoon tea and loved the food and the whole ambience of the place - very cosy and with a vintage style theme.



As soon as we met Jean & Ruth I knew we were in good hands! They are such warm and friendly ladies and take such great passion and pride in their business ( I wanted somewhere where I felt I got the personal touch , not somewhere cold and corporate). They listened to all our preferences and helped and advised us excellently.



The actual day couldn't of been more perfect..everything was exactly as I wanted and had asked for ( the ladies have great taste!) the decor and tables were presented beautifully.



The food was amazing! ( all my guests couldn't compliment enough! Not only delicious but wonderfully presented . Jean is an excellent chef and makes everything home made so it has that extra special touch and taste !

She also made our wedding cake which was spectacular and again all our guests couldn't compliment it enough!



I really can't thank Jean and Ruth and the buttercream team enough for giving us our perfect wedding reception. I can't recommend it enough as well for a wedding reception. Once again thank you so much ! ���

Just home from a gorgeous afternoon tea to celebrate a baby shower. Staff were really accommodating and had no problems sorting dietary requests and last minute changes. The food was beautiful and everyone had a lovely afternoon. Thank you. Will definitely be in again soon.

I went for an afternoon tea with my other half and 7 year old. All staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious.They did an amazing job catering for my egg allergy and provided some tasty alternatives: cheese and tomato tart instead of quiche, jelly with cream instead of trifle and an egg free scone and cupcake along with finger sandwiches, salad, fruit and shortbread hearts. I will definitely be visiting again!

I took my little boy in today for a birthday lunch and the staff were so friendly and were extremely accommodating of his gluten free needs. The food was amazing (especially their homemade chunky chips!) The tearoom has such a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere and we felt really comfortable there. The gluten free brownie was a big hit too, it's extremely difficult to find freshly baked gluten free stuff. I will definitely be returning. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

I have just got back from a babyshower at Buttercream Tea Rooms. The food was amazing (even boxed up what we didnt eat) Ruth and staff where very very good. The place was perfect for our Mad Hatters tea party and would 100% recommend going or having a private event there. Thank you!! �xx

I had my baby shower here a few months ago and it was absolutely perfect. Such a beautiful tea room and the staff were so lovely and friendly. The afternoon tea was delicious and they catered for all dietary requirements. I can't wait to return (we popped in today but you were fully booked,) will book next time! X

I came here for afternoon tea earlier today and it was lovely. Staff were great, very friendly and the food was lovely. I am dairy free and still had a good variety of my plate, they even made me up some stuff specially there and then including a dairy free quiche which was delicious!

Had afternoon tea here for my grandmothers 91st bday. We had a fabulous time and the ambience staff were fabulous. In all honesty I have never had a jacket potato that tasted so good in all my life. The taste buds didn’t finish there though however as the scones with jam and cream were also out of this world. The next time I’m in Hinckley I’ll definitely be stopping off and paying them a visit again.

First visit. My best friend arranged my baby shower here. Travelled down from Newcastle and was able to decorate the room half an hour before our booking. We all had afternoon tea - 7 adults and 1 child. The food and service was amazing. We did not go hungry, our drinks were topped up and they checked we were all happy a couple of times. Been to other places for afternoon tea in the area. This place by far is THE BEST!

Excellent service . Went in for afternoon tea ,but hadn't booked . The ladies were lovely accommodating us . They didn't have what they normally servered so menu was slightly different .

We had sandwiches ,quiche,salad,scones, mini trifle ,brownies,sponge cake all served with a big pot of tea and my other daughter had coffee . It was gorgeous. Served on proper china plates and cups and saucers . Yum yum

This place is beautiful, the staff are really helpful and the service is superb!! The food was wonderful!! It's a must go place for afternoon tea!!!

Spent a lovely couple of hours here yesterday with my Sister's and daughter celebrating my mums 87th birthday. The food and service were fabulous!! It was so reasonable as well.

My mum , Gran, 2 daughters (1 a baby) and myself. came to visit your loverly tearoom yesterday afternoon . We had called to book the day before and we had mentioned that my mother had a intolerance to cream and dairy . We thought we would give you a heads up just incase ..... well what can I say . You had made my mum her very own afternoon tea . Everything made from scratch . She was so happy as she would normally just get thobbed off with fruit and a couple more sandwiches . You had actually made her sausage rolls and puddings that wouldn’t usually be on the afternoon tea ☺️ And for the little ones afternoon . That was up to scratch aswel. Truly amazing experience . Thank you so much and we will be visiting you again very soon .

My 2 children and I went with friends to the Peter Rabbit afternoon tea, which was wonderful. The attention to detail and quality of food was second to none. Will definitely be recommending to friends.

Me and my now husband had our wedding reception at Buttercream and I honestly can't describe how perfect it was...we had decided to have a small intimate reception with 27 guests, and wanted something more informal than a sit down hotel type meal/ venue, so we had decided on afternoon tea.

I had been there for an afternoon tea and loved the food and the whole ambience of the place - very cosy and with a vintage style theme.



As soon as we met Jean & Ruth I knew we were in good hands! They are such warm and friendly ladies and take such great passion and pride in their business ( I wanted somewhere where I felt I got the personal touch , not somewhere cold and corporate). They listened to all our preferences and helped and advised us excellently.



The actual day couldn't of been more perfect..everything was exactly as I wanted and had asked for ( the ladies have great taste!) the decor and tables were presented beautifully.



The food was amazing! ( all my guests couldn't compliment enough! Not only delicious but wonderfully presented . Jean is an excellent chef and makes everything home made so it has that extra special touch and taste !

She also made our wedding cake which was spectacular and again all our guests couldn't compliment it enough!



I really can't thank Jean and Ruth and the buttercream team enough for giving us our perfect wedding reception. I can't recommend it enough as well for a wedding reception. Once again thank you so much ! ���

Just home from a gorgeous afternoon tea to celebrate a baby shower. Staff were really accommodating and had no problems sorting dietary requests and last minute changes. The food was beautiful and everyone had a lovely afternoon. Thank you. Will definitely be in again soon.

I went for an afternoon tea with my other half and 7 year old. All staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious.They did an amazing job catering for my egg allergy and provided some tasty alternatives: cheese and tomato tart instead of quiche, jelly with cream instead of trifle and an egg free scone and cupcake along with finger sandwiches, salad, fruit and shortbread hearts. I will definitely be visiting again!

I took my little boy in today for a birthday lunch and the staff were so friendly and were extremely accommodating of his gluten free needs. The food was amazing (especially their homemade chunky chips!) The tearoom has such a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere and we felt really comfortable there. The gluten free brownie was a big hit too, it's extremely difficult to find freshly baked gluten free stuff. I will definitely be returning. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

I have just got back from a babyshower at Buttercream Tea Rooms. The food was amazing (even boxed up what we didnt eat) Ruth and staff where very very good. The place was perfect for our Mad Hatters tea party and would 100% recommend going or having a private event there. Thank you!! �xx

I had my baby shower here a few months ago and it was absolutely perfect. Such a beautiful tea room and the staff were so lovely and friendly. The afternoon tea was delicious and they catered for all dietary requirements. I can't wait to return (we popped in today but you were fully booked,) will book next time! X

I came here for afternoon tea earlier today and it was lovely. Staff were great, very friendly and the food was lovely. I am dairy free and still had a good variety of my plate, they even made me up some stuff specially there and then including a dairy free quiche which was delicious!

Had afternoon tea here for my grandmothers 91st bday. We had a fabulous time and the ambience staff were fabulous. In all honesty I have never had a jacket potato that tasted so good in all my life. The taste buds didn’t finish there though however as the scones with jam and cream were also out of this world. The next time I’m in Hinckley I’ll definitely be stopping off and paying them a visit again.

Had a lovely cream tea this afternoon and it’s the first time ever that I’ve had a cream and cheese /dairy free. Well happy as usually I get fobbed off with bits of fruit cake and a macaroon!! Really enjoyed my afternoon thank you so very much xx

First visit. My best friend arranged my baby shower here. Travelled down from Newcastle and was able to decorate the room half an hour before our booking. We all had afternoon tea - 7 adults and 1 child. The food and service was amazing. We did not go hungry, our drinks were topped up and they checked we were all happy a couple of times. Been to other places for afternoon tea in the area. This place by far is THE BEST!

Fantastic 1st pop up bar night. Great selection of gins, couldn’t get through them all. Very relaxed atmosphere with music and very friendly staff. It’s a must to start your weekend off.

Excellent service . Went in for afternoon tea ,but hadn't booked . The ladies were lovely accommodating us . They didn't have what they normally servered so menu was slightly different .

We had sandwiches ,quiche,salad,scones, mini trifle ,brownies,sponge cake all served with a big pot of tea and my other daughter had coffee . It was gorgeous. Served on proper china plates and cups and saucers . Yum yum

Early Father Days pressie from the wife afternoon tea was to die for and the waitresses super nice and friendly recommend a visit to anyone �

Came to the Buttercream Tearoom for the Peter Rabbit afternoon tea today and loved it! The staff were so friendly and so much thought and effort had gone into the food which was absolutely delicious. Both my children said they had a lovely time and we will definitely be back for lunch/afternoon tea soon. Thank you!
