About Cafe Allez

Cafe Allez! : bringing you fine coffees , cakes and more via Van Henri, our vintage Citroen Van. We're also now at Cafe Allez! Belvoir Castle, our coffee shop at the gateway to the Castle . . .

Cafe Allez Description

In 2017, Mark and Claire formed Cafe Allez! , with the mission of bringing fine barista coffees, cakes and more to events, weddings and corporations, delivering outstanding quality and a shot of French style - via Van Henri, our vintage 1972 Citroen HY van.

In Spring 2019, we opened our first permanent coffee shop, Cafe Allez! Belvoir Castle. Situated between Nottingham, Grantham and Melton Mowbray, we offer fine views and fine coffee courtesy of Nottingham roasters, 200 Degrees.

We also feauture local produce including Thaymar Dairy Ice Cream, bread from the superb Grantham bakers Bloomsbury and more.

Our coffee shop menu also includes speciality teas, our fabulous hot chocolate, Belvoir Fruit Farms cold drinks, bacon and sausage cobs (including vegetarian options) and more. . .

We hope to see you soon!

We would like to wish a Merry Christmas and a very happy 2019 to all our customers, friends, suppliers, family and helpers.
Sincere thanks for your fabulous support in 2018!
We hope to bring you news of a very exciting development in the new year ...

Steady few days for the team... apart from 3 days in London working with Link Communication to help them with a new product sampling campaign; 3 days at The Engine Yard, Belvoir with their superb Christmas market... catering for a specialist auction in Newark... and providing a festive farewell drinks service for a great company in Nottingham today.
Can Henri put his wheels up until after Christmas, or will the Cafe Allez! batphone ring before then...?

Coincidence or fate? Meet Rupert: top bloke, brother in law and now, model for the 200 Degrees Coffee gift packs available online or in store nationally at Boots!
So - get your 200 Degrees coffee fix with us, at Boots or in 200 Degrees stores this Christmas...
And Rupert might be available for pack signings for the appropriate appearance fee...

We're thrilled to announce that Cafe Allez! is BACK at Belvoir Castle this Saturday, Sunday and Monday to support the already excellent catering provisions at the Christmas Market at the Engine Yard.
We'll be siting Van Henri across the road from his familiar pitch in the main visitor car park, near Santa’s Grotto.
On offer: some brilliant baking, some outstanding barista coffees, some first rate hot chocolates, and our usual friendly service. All served with a smile and a co...mpostable cup.
Cycling this weekend? - come and pay us a return visit! Your bike sticker discounts will apply...
Find out more about the market here ... you can expect lots of stalls, great decorations, live music, and - if you pre-book- a visit to Santa's Grotto... https://www.facebook.com/events/170307607 249763/

Melton Mowbray, our home town, all weekend! Christmas lights switch on this evening, St Mary’s Christmas Tree Festival, and the brilliant Victorian Christmas Fayre to enjoy in our market town.
Come and join us for a warming hot chocolate perhaps, or a fine coffee? And you have so earned a 🍰

When he’s not serving you coffees, he’s hanging out with movie stars... Van Henri on set in London last night.
Don’t ask us about the film as we’re sworn to secrecy but all will be revealed if we make the final cut!
A great experience for the team...

User

Be sure to seek out Cafe Allez!’s Christmas tree at the spectacular St Mary’s Christmas Tree Festival... in Melton Mowbray, 30th November through 4th December.
Our baubles are packing 200 Degrees coffee beans... if the church mice break them open they’ll be wired for weeks...

User

We love the Woodthorpe Christmas lights switch-on event - a proper community & family occasion. Sincere thanks to Councillor Mike for having us back again and to Rosie and Francis for the very welcome help.
Learning for next year: take / bake more mince pies!

Thought we'd share our favourite pictures of Cafe Allez! since we started trading... from Sunday's magical lantern walk which ended at Oakham Castle at dusk. A magical community event in a glorious setting, it will live long in our memories.
We're thinking of installing steps so our younger customers can order double espressos without parental assistance in future...
Thanks to Clare Caro for some brilliant event organisation and for sharing these shots...

Cafe Allez! has now published our third Vale of Belvoir cycling route, 'Vale Hills and Thrills', courtesy of our cycling consultant and good friend, Ollie Nuthall.
The irony of publishing these at a point in the season when we're not at Belvoir Castle is not lost on us. However! - there are still good riding days to be had and in fact the photos you'll see on the route were taken this week.
We also hope the routes will stand the test of time and will be available indefinitely....
Ollie sets you a challenge here, packing plenty of climbing into a route of just 19 miles. There are rewards to be won: some of the best scenery the Vale of Belvoir has to offer is yours and in the process, you’ll end up with one of the UK’s ‘top 100 cycling climbs’ on your cycling CV.
Send us your pictures and feedback if you take this one on! You can download the route (commentary and pictures) plus a GPX file for your cycling computer for free from our website: https://www.cafeallez.uk/…/cafe-allez-p ublishes-3rd-vale-o…/

Cafe Allez! are thrilled to be back at Oakham Castle for Remembrance Sunday.
Come and see 10,000 ceramic poppies in the grounds, to commemorate 100 years since the end of the Great War.
And we'll also be catering for the walkers of the Magical Lantern Walk when they arrive at dusk... who will surely be in need of our fine hot chocolates, also some hot apple juice that was pressed in the Castle grounds!

User

We're proud to be providing the hot drinks and cakes for our friends at March House Farm at their Bonfire and Fireworks Night!
Great Dalby, near Melton Mowbray.
It'll be a great night ... tickets available from their farm shop or at the event on the night ...

Unusual not to be working yesterday so we enjoyed watching 'Time Trial', the David Millar film about his last season as a pro-cyclist. Thanks to the Regal Cinema, Melton Mowbray, for screening it and giving an exclusive booking window for Cafe Allez! and Caffe Velo Verde customers.
So a brief review: firstly we were instantly made at home by the Regal and cheered our damp Sunday up no end with the help of some pick'n'mix and a steaming mug of hot chocolate.
The film: absolute...ly amazing and we would recommend it to anyone, cyclist or not. It is very intense and dramatic as we follow David's dream to qualify for one final Tour de France before he retires.
Some intimate and incredible filming gives never-before-seen glimpses into life as a pro cyclist, from the small talk and sharing of food in the peloton at its most relaxed, to the agony of exhausting climbs, to the incredible speed and bike-handling skills required on a rainy stage or on a steep descent.
The film also faces squarely into Millar's use of drugs in the past and his subsequent redemption (in our eyes at least).
The fruity language might contribute to the film's 18 certificate but that aside it's well worth a watch if you get the opportunity ...

Our season at Belvoir Castle ended last weekend (with a beautiful sunset). Follow us on Facebook for news of our next events and hopefully, of a new project we’re working on. 🤞
But for now, heartfelt thanks from Henri, Mark & Claire to: - The team at Belvoir Castle for their support and for sharing their beautiful facility & views with us; - Ella, Rosie and Louise for your hard and expert work during some hectic Summer weekends;... - and most importantly, YOU our customers, for your custom and your company.
It was a blast...

Well, ventured out to Belvoir Castle on a damp and cold Easter Good Friday with Jane and Alfie ( the hound ). Walked from Belvoir Castle car park to Redmile and back again to be met with the wonderful coffee van, “Henri” and smiling faces of Mark & Clare at Cafe Allez.

Fantastic latte coffee, rocky road cake to die for and finished off with the most fantastic scone with jam & cream.

Definitely worth a trip up to Belvoir Castle if nothing else just to try the delights of “Henri” the van and his treats.

Next time I’ll be on my bike to work off the extra calories that I scoffed down.

Thanks again a great experience.

Sean, Jane & Alfie.

Popped up to the Castle this morning after a dog walk along the canal, just to get coffee and cake! Hubby and I couldn’t decide between the Creme Egg Brownie and Caramel Shortbread, so got both and shared them! They were fab, along with the lovely cappuccino, which was rich and creamy, just what we needed, thank you

I called in today having seen signs whilst out on the bike. I have to say , a lovely coffee and a superb location . I sat watching hares playing in the distance , a cracking view . Excellent staff and service to match.

User

Half way round my 30 mile Vale of Belvoir cycle ride this morning and happened upon this cracking little coffee cart offering a lovely selection of coffees, cakes , pastry’s and savoury’s . Very friendly and pleasant owner would highly recommend. Situated right outside of the Belvoir Castle entrance . As MacArthur said “I will return “. Good luck for the future. Robert (Marston)
