great cafe , quality food good prices with plenty of cycling nostalgia to occupy yourself. if that's not enough there's cycling on Eurosport channel too. also an adjoining cycling shop. so it's for cyclists, cycling lovers friends and anyone looking for an alternative cafe. I'm glad I cycled 90 mile round trip to find it .
What an amazing cycling space, the food in the cafe is great, the staff are friendly and as it was pretty cold outside we did a static bike challenge on wattbike, even got to see the new Wattbike Atom which is packed full of technology, and is very easy to use.
This is more than just a pit stop for cyclists en route. Friendly staff served me the biggest and tastiest slab of Rocky Road I have ever seen and I've had some cake!! Will definitely visit again, possibly with the family for a bite to eat and a coffee!!
Thanks for the tour on Sunday and the chance to get some great video footage. I will be sharing the Harborough Festival of Cycling film over the next few days. Search #cafeventoux on youtube
Stop here on my ride from Newcastle to Winchester. Like an oasis on a road of pain! The guys were great, friendly atmosphere and floor to ceiling bike stuff
Im not a cyclist but my husband is, so seemed a perfect place to visit on his 40th birthday yesterday and we were not disappointed.
A big breakfast and a veggie breakfast plus two rounds of drinks, all amazing, definitely recommend the vegetarian sausage, the best ive eaten..
I think it was the owners who took time to chat with us so definitely the personal touch.
Thanks for a lovely morning xx
Had a ride over this morning on our tandem in preparation for a LEJOG epic adventure in June. 1st time either of us had been and we arrived early, 45 mins before opening, but the staff were fantastic and welcoming. Invited us in and switched on the coffee machines for us. What a place. Food looked great and the shop was filled with a wide range of items, including lots of bling....
Looking forward to another long training ride so we can call in again.
Great place. These guys stock the whole Wattbike range, even the new Atom model. They are in fact the only place currently in the country that has a demo machine. Instantly served and made welcome. Staff highly informative. Great cafe and bike shop too.
Great place, great food, atmosphere is bang on, definitely worth a trip there.....👌🏻
Great location, friendly staff and yummy food! I met here with a friend, as by chance the cafe is exactly half way between us. We will be back, as it was brilliant x
Fantastic cycle destination with yummy food in a beautiful location! Can’t lie, we drove there to meet two cyclists!! Will be back though, with or without the bikes!!!
Brilliant stop for Cyclists. Great shop and cafe. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.
Absolutely fantastic set-up. We parked at Ventoux and cycled from there. Had food and drinks on our return. Fantastic panini's, quick service and even a cheeky prosecco & beer which was well deserved after our ride.
Iconic Cafe, worth the 90+ mile round trip!
Some think the prices are high, which is ironic, given we turn up on thousands of pounds worth of kit, stand ordering in a pair of £150+ sunglasses!
Suppose money saved on food can go towards the next bike!!
Will always be on the list of regular rides!!
Nice food great place but a coffee ,can of drink and bacon sandwich £10.50 come on
Brilliant location to ride to, set in some lovely country side. My only down side is the cost of drinks and food very much over priced and very slow service.
Lovely location. Perfect on our cycle route....
But why don’t you have ANY dairy free options?!
Not what you need when you’re hungry!
Loved this place when I first visited but recently during a family visit for lunch the manager was rude and unapologetic to my partners father after he had been short changed and had only realised on arriving at a table.. their policy is no rectification after you’ve left the counter.. not good
Heard so much about this place so first visit today.Lovely warm sunny day lots of cyclists out but obviously not visiting Ventoux as it was really quiet and then i realized why, £3 for a small coffee so will definitely be taking a flask next time, didn't really appreciate the sarcastic labels on the tables either about not being self cleaning. Could not fault the the staff, the girls were great although they were struggling to find enough to do but i guess that doesn't matter at those prices.
Will i be back?? probably but with more cash in my pocket, it is a lovely setting and im sure it has it's fans.
