Visiting Nottingham for my Birthday we came across this restaurant. My husband booked and was asked the occasion. When I arrived our table was decorated with silver scattered stars. The service and food was exceptional. At the end of our meal they brought a cake with candle and sang “Happy Birthday.” It made my Evening. Thank you Calcutta Club so much.

The food, service and setting is all brilliant. I've had a lot of curries but this is a standard above anything else. We'll be coming back often for sure!

The food here is fantastic and one of the nicest meals I've had in a while and the service is incredible and they should be extremely proud. Absolutely first class. Really lovely place and 10 out of 10 in all aspects. Can't wait to return.

The best curry I’ve had in ages if not ever! Great place -great staff -food tastes like no other restaurant. I would highly recommend you try it. Booking recommended as it is very popular.

My daughter took myself and my husband along with her and her partner for a birthday meal! Absolutely wonderful food and service. Loved it.

Incredible food and very good service indeed. Walked it at 18.15 without a reservation and they found me a table. I had the tandoori lamb cutlets which were delicious; immaculately seasoned and cooked, served with a tasty, superior salad (how many times do you go to an Indian restaurant and leave the rather ordinary salad accompaniment?), which I eagerly polished off. The beef and potato madras (which I opted to have with steamed rice) was exquisite. Rich, flavourful, firey heat yet not overpowering with beef that was so tender that it just fell apart. Washed down with a couple of pints of draught Tiger lager, add a discount for early diners and I got the best Indian meal I’ve had for a very long time for £30 (exclusive of tip).



This place is seriously good.

Had originally planned to go the MS next door after attending the Heatwave gig at the Albert Hall. But somehow was drawn in by the Calcutta Club's welcoming glow! Have to say we were definitely not disappointed! Brilliant food, fabulous service, and also close to home (but we were staying in the hotel opposite!) Hope to come back again soon! Martyn & Ginny x

Had a great first experience here for my sons 30th birthday. The food was exquisite and the service was excellent, the staff were friendly and extremely attentive. Will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend.

First time visit with my mother for her birthday. A well presented restaurant, with a pleasant atmosphere and courteous service. Great selection of food, whatever we selected was very tasty.
