Use the function room for a hen do this weekend and had an awesome time, we were really well looked after and food was delicious, would definitely recommend this place! Thanks

User

Love this place, so unusual. Boat moored in the middle of the bar and great outdoors too. Good choice of drinks and friendly staff

User

LOVE this place!!! Huge selection of craft beers, very knowledgeable staff, fantastic outside area. Never waited long to be served. What I really liked is I once ordered a cloud water ipa once, and the guy serving me pointed out it was £8 before I bought it. How honest is that?!?!

User

Had my 40th party here on Saturday night, staff were very attentive, room was Beautiful, food was good and the Dj had any music you could think of. Great night had by all

User

Great place to sit in sunshine by the canals. Always a great selection of ales on as well.

User

Great location beside the canal, lovely outdoor area, staff were very professional courteous and remembered how we liked our drinks specifically. The food was good friendly atmosphere can highly recommend this place, to take friends afternoon, early evenings, with a fantastic outdoor space. Oh and a phenomenal choice in beers and the food specials options are great.

User

First time in here on a quite busy lunch time. Staff was friendly and food was absolutely delicious. The friend who was with me has to leave earlier and she was given the food she did not eat to take home. The chicken and waffle burger is to die for I will be definitely back.

User

Fantastic range of beers from around the world and a huge selection of home brewed delights , all of which are quite palatable ! The food is amazing and reasonably priced. Today was my first visit to The Canalhouse bar. But it certainly wont be my last !

User

Fantastic place to eat and drink, when ever we go to Nottingham, this is the place we go for food. People are friendly and helpful. It’s in such a beautiful spot. Well worth a visit x

User

Absolutely brilliant place it was ultra busy fantastic selection of beers great garden could do with more staff service was slow.

User

A bit crowded but it was the first sunny day here in the Mid-lands, so it was to be expected. I enjoyed a terrific Barleywine from a local brewery. The canal in the bar was very cool!

User

Visited yesterday (Saturday) early evening. Really busy mixed crowd of people. Quite difficult to get served at the bar for people propping the bar up chatting and not many staff behind the bar. No Guinness which was disappointing and far too much to stand and choose so I just had a carling. Husband had a pint of castle rock which he said wasn't bad. Bouncers were friendly and professional. Tables were cleared regular. Didn't venture to the toilets as they seemed to be upstairs. Would be nice if possible to have what beers you have in the food menus on the tables as it would have been great to see what we were having next. Didn't eat but others around did looked average burger and chips but smelt nice! Lived in Nottingham years but never been in and was nice to see the boats inside and the old fixtures and bridge. Maybe try again in the summer.

User

Nice vibe to the place and a great selection of beers

We had the bourbon beef brisket baguette which was 5/5!

Only negative i have is i was stood at the bar for 20minutes trying to get served (and it was barely 2 people deep at some parts of the bar at all times) and people around me who'd only just got there were all being served before me (very attractive women mainly)

So i eventually got too fed up and got my brother to stand and wait (he spoke up and out about it to one member of staff which clearly worked as he was then served next)

Id go again as i like layout of the place and the atmosphere, just wish and hope i dont have the same experience at the bar.

User

Nice place and Good choice of drinks, major downside, you have to have the right face to get served. 20 minutes stood at the bar, being totally ignored. Ended up walking out

User

Lovely bar, great location on the edge of the canal but £7 a pint is extortionate, no matter who made it or how small the batch is.

User

Brilliant for the comedy etc, however when they have a big event they really do need more staff on and I know it’s predominantly a cask ale pub but very expensive for a cordial and soda where have all the alcohol free ciders gone?!?

User

Great beer and very nice staff but total mess on our food order which somehow got “lost” we were going to the cricket so had to leave hungry. Manager gave us a cash refund and was apologetic. Suppose from time to time these things happen but very disappointed.

User

Your door staff need educating in the the difference between those who have had a few beers and those who are going to cause trouble.

You have now lost a customer and I will advise others to avoid canalhouse as well, because of your crap security.

I’ve been in this pub numerous times but Friday 30th June, one uneducated fool person decided I’m not welcome.

User

So yesterday we all went in after work, I had to take a emergency phone call so I ran outside and accidentally knocked a chair over. Upon trying to get back into the bar I was told no due to the fact I was throwing chairs over and causing trouble.... the bartender that said this could see I was on the phone but was having none of it wouldn't listen and there was no reasoning with them at all so from that member of staff and the bouncers customer service was none existent and I won't be coming back again that's for sure
