Went today for the 1st time and WOW everything was delicious... The childrens stands were lovely and full of wonderful surprises for them! And there was so much on our stand that we had to bring some home! Will definitely be back again especially for the scones! I can honestly say THE BEST I've ever tasted! The staff were so friendly and didnt even batter an eyelid at the mess our 3 children left behind... Thanks again for a wonderful afternoon tea and we will see you again real soon x
Went this afternoon for 4 children’s afternoon tea and cream tea with my sister which was lovely. So much selection for the children’s afternoon tea. Scones were warm and delicious. Very friendly and will definitely be returning. Thanks again. X x
Went for the first time today, lovely strawberry scone, and a sandwich for my friend, very friendly so good booking again tomorrow to take my 2 friends for afternoon tea for their birthdays.
We visited here today with 4 kids for the children’s afternoon tea. Wow! Fantastic vintage feel inside, very friendly staff who went out of their way to provide a wonderful service. The food was really yummy and lots of it for your money. Child friendly, highly recommended and will be going back soon
Visited today, lovely warm welcome! Scone was amazing and my mum enjoyed her sandwich. My daughter's loved the sweets! We will be coming back to try something else. Definitely recommend! X
Visited today for afternoon tea,WOW I have had many afternoon teas over the years. But nothing compares to this!!!!!
Gorgeous definitely not shop bought cake, scones and sandwiches. So much food I needed a doggie bag which the lovely young lady was only too happy to give me.
The lovely owner and her very friendly staff go out of their way to make your visit memorable. Will definitely be back, keep up the great work x
Took my daughter today as a treat before school starts again. Everyone was so nice and nothing was too much trouble. Food was lovely, you couldn’t resist the homemade cake once you’d seen it. A great addition to long eaton
Took my children here today for afternoon tea with beauty and the beast.... it was amazing!! The kids really enjoyed there selfs and enjoyed a variety of different foods on the afternoon tea stands.... sandwiches cakes salad sticks and lots more... plenty of juice to go around too. The tea room looked beautiful, and the atmosphere was fantastic!!! The entertainers where brilliant, beast kept all the kids entertained throughout the whole party.. I would higley reccomend carriages, and I can't wait to return for afternoon tea with my nana! Thanks again :)
This was a welcoming place to stop for a pause and a refuel. the greeting atmosphere and food were all fabulous. food was reasonable in price and generous in quantity. The homemade cake was gorgeous. Resisted the temptation to buy sweets I recall from my childhood although there was a fabulous choice available. Was so glad they offered the wrapping of food to bring away. will definately be calling again. Thank you for making my visit a special treat.
This is a lovely tea room, the afternoon tea was very good and the owner and staff are very friendly, hopefully we will visit again soon.

Popped in for an impromptu lunch today with my husband and son , absolutely loved it .
Great food, friendly staff and great prices.
Old fashioned sweeties were a bonus for my son and after lunch a cream tea was enjoyed by us all.
Omg where to start the atmosphere is amazing as soon as you step in the door from the decor to the music. And then the food it's fabulous my husband was unsure about afternoon tea but he loved it and the scones are out of this world. The kids afternoon was perfect for both ages and fully enjoyed it. Plus you csn take home what you don't eat. The lady owner was a delight. All round 5* service

Beautifully presented afternoon tea and very generous servings - took my son for a treat and he didn’t know what to try first! Especially loved the side dishes of sweets! Very friendly staff too, lovely atmosphere.
Will definitely be back thank you!
Although I live in London I am lucky to have a very good friend who loves in long eaton and whilst staying with her we came to carriages for afternoon tea. The whole experience was fabulous. A friendly atmosphere and the 1940s theme is great. Afternoon tea was delicious and great value. There was so much we even went home with a doggie bag.
The old fashioned sweets available to buy by the quarter are too tempting to leave without too!!
Absolutely love it here. I've been couple of times, once with my husband and once with my younger daughter and had a lovely time both times. I will definitely be back. Emma is lovely and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The scones are divine and the cakes look great too. Lovely atmosphere too.
A birthday afternoon tea treat for two chatterboxes . Thank you Emma for the yummy scones, they kept us mum's full until teatime
Took mum for her birthday, Really made to feel welcome.
Polite staff/owner.
Lovely afternoon tea, Mum really enjoyed it and want to come again to try the sandwiches.
So see you soon.
Great look to the building nicely decorated- highly recommend fans though - weather is not your fault understood but at least try to accommodate as we had to sit in back room due to a member being in a wheelchair and being more room.. went for an afternoon tea, quite disappointed I'm afraid to say.. the sandwiches were nice enough but the menu said you could pick a piece of cake from the cabinet but wasn't given the chance to and one of the cakes that were given in place were from home bargains.. when pointed out about the cake we were just told 'sorry someone else writes the menus' after leaving and waiting just round the corner to be picked up one member required some water to take medication with as she forgot whilst in there and we were told 'we don't sell water we have cans of pop' 'well she can't take it with sugar' and literally no offer of tap water given even in a glass that I could pop back in.. she was in a wheelchair so couldn't have just 'nipped' in..won't be returning I'm afraid.
Been here today, slightly disappointing. May I suggest when people order tea if after a while you bring hot water instead of charging £2 for another pot!
The food was good, staff working today were nice. It was far too hot! Desperately need a fan in there to make it more comfortable. They didn't have enough glasses to serve all our party tap water. Owner came in to take money, very rude, made comment about the room being hot (no shit Sherlock) loudly told our party that she had reprimanded a member of staff as he had told us the wrong price and made a comment about a member of our party being pregnant (until clearly the mum to be came out of the loo) very poor customer service from the manager. Such a shame. I won't be returning.
