Tackling the other wavy ear...getting the complicated bit out of the way

Hee hee 🤣 when I'm drawing I do try to put each pencil back in order to try to make it easier to find the shade I'm looking for. However so many times I find myself holding half a dozen or so at once as I add a bit here and a bit there. How organised are you? Do you like to do things one at a time...or are you a multi tasked like me?

I know it doesn't look like much yet but I've been busy adding lots of the important highlights as this surface won't allow me to put lights over darks.
Can you tell what it is now?

Hmmm at the start of a new portrait, I can't help wondering if I've chosen the right surface to draw on and the right pencils for the project 🤔

Spot the dog! 😁 Yay last night I completed a second commissioned portrait for Doogan’s owner. The lovely lady asked me to draw her own dog but also to draw one for her friend who’s dog has crossed rainbow bridge 🌈😢 What a kind and thoughtful gift, don’t you think? I hope it brings her friend some comfort and fond memories xxx

Yay! I have my iPad back 😁 Would you like to guess what breed of dog my latest commission is?

Yay! Foolishly I left my iPad on the plane 😫 I hate getting upset about material things and have been trying to tell myself that there's more important things in life. However there are so many photos related to my artwork and information and contacts on there that I've been feeling anxious without it. I've just found out that Heathrow lost property have found it!! (Even though I knew exactly where it was) it's took a lot of phone calls and searching on line and will cost a s...mall fortune to have it returned but I'm feeling so relieved ☺ Here's a few pictures of rainbows I mostly took on my journey to Reykjavik airport. Can you guess what the last one is? The morale of the story is ...always check you have all of your belongings with you when you leave an aircraft but most importantly Never give up hope xx

Yay! I'm back in England waiting for my flight back to Manchester. I was chatting to the hotel owner yesterday and mentioned how blessed we were to see the Puffins at this time of year ...but didn't get any close up photos for my artwork. He kindly drove us to his friend's farm so that I could take photos of these gorgeous Icelandic horses 😀

Yay! Got a phone call in the middle of the night to inform us the Northern lights were back 😁
