We recently visited this 6000L, 36m Sentry trailed sprayer, equipped with our ePlumbing system, Norac UC7 boom levelling all running through the John Deere terminal in the cab. The boom levelling was doing a fantastic job of maintaining the correct application height over the undulating ground! #FirstInTheField #MadeInBritain

Our first Defender was delivered earlier this week, offering all the market leading features of our larger Interceptor, but with tank sizes of 3000 and 3500 litres. The Defender is equipped with a 180hp Deutz Tier 5 engine, powering a Bosch Rexroth 'CVT' transmission like its larger sibling. We’re currently expanding the main sprayer workshop here at Chafer Machinery. This will give us additional storage for machine subassemblies, allowing us to produce higher volumes more efficiently. #FirstInTheField

You may have noticed we have been using the First in the Field hashtag recently? This is a long standing Chafer line, first used by James Chafer and his son Charles dating back to the 1950s. It’s been Chafer’s aim to produce and support industry leading application equipment for over 115 years, and we continue this ethos to this day. #FirstInTheField

This Interceptor skid unit is about to be mated with its 5000L spray pack. Building the two assemblies in unison allows us to reduce the initial build time, before the booms are fitted and the machines go through our internal testing process. #FirstInTheField

The stainless steel spray tank has long been a feature of all our sprayers, but stainless use doesn’t stop there. Wherever possible stainless steel fixtures and fittings are used to offer long term corrosion resistance for ease of maintenance. #FirstInTheField

Our Interceptor and Defender machines utilise a Bosch Rexroth transmission system offering ‘CVT’ control. This system ensures none of the load bearing is done by the hydraulic motor, with the gearbox oil completely separate to that of the hydrostatic systems. This not only offers market leading driving performance, but also unrivalled reliability. #FirstInTheField

LH Agro UK Ltd have been here at Chafer HQ fitting Norac UC7 to a new 6000L, 36m Sentry. Chafer work closely with LH Agro to not only fit Topcon and Norac systems, but to offer on farm technical support to our customers. #FirstInTheField
