Me & my 9 year old son went for a meal after the cinema at jct 27 Birstall. The staff were absolutely fab & could not do enough for us....



The food was quick to arrive hot & very tasty.



We will return as our experience was most enjoyable & a good fun Saturday night date �

Had a lovely anniversary meal with my fiance . Didn't wait long for the food .delicious food Friendly service very good music good atmosphere . Highly recommended �

Came here for a family meal on Saturday was very impressed with the speedy service but yet very efficient thanks to our waiter Adam. He was very friendly and kept our table entertained. Gave us some great menu recommendations. Also the manager of this branch was lovely and chatty I didn’t catch her name unfortunately! Would deffo recommend this place great staff and great food!

Amazing food and atmosphere Ben was the most fantastic member of staff looked after us from start to finish and the general manager (who's name escapes me) were both very chatty and helpful will be back again thank you

Adam served us tonight and he was brilliant. Our app wouldn't load for 50% off but he honoured this as he could see we had the app and that we'd tried to redeem the code. We were served quickly and the food was really nice �

Food was excellent staff very friendly and helpful. The only reason for not giving it 5* is we wanted the baked banana for our pudding and they had no bananas. But all in all a great meal.

Went with my husband before the cinema, food wasn't great at all. Had nachos to start which were really soggy unable to eat them. Waited ages for our main to arrive which meant rushing so we didn't miss our film. Had a pulled pork burrito which had hardly any pork in was just filled with rice. Wouldn't go again!!

We arrived, asked for menus and nutritional information for my type 1 insulin dependant diabetic daughter, told us it was all online and could get it for us, we ordered went to the computer to look at the carbs for insulin and nothing to be found anywhere! Just ‘gluten, milk, egg etc free. Every other restaurant we have been to has all of the nutritional information in a easy to read folder so we can ensure our daughter has the correct amount of insulin for the food she is about to eat!

We had to leave just as our food was about to be brought to our table! We are not a happy family as it’s one of our favourite restaurants! Not any more!

Sat at the table waiting 15 minutes to order when there was no other table in. Only 1 server working at breakfast which in a restaurant this size is no good.

Poor service and food! Had to wait to be served and for food and there was not many customers, steak I ordered was too chewe. Didn't like it at all, not recommend that place.

Where do I start. We ask to sit in a booth to the right. We were told that we couldn’t sit there because nobody was serving there. We received cocktails full of ice. I asked for an extra wrap and was told they’d bring it later, but didn’t. I offered to pay extra. The staff switch mid service and were NOT attentive. The managers looked even less interested. The sauces were empty and needed replacing. My wife had to also ask for cutlery replacements. There were chips on the floor of the next table for the whole service, which are a slip hazard. There was no lime with the King Prawn Fajitas. Portions have reduced and you used to gut free nachos, replaced by spiced popcorn and now that’s gone. I ask for service and was told he couldn’t serve us, as it wasn’t his section and he walked away. I asked to pay for an extra scoop of ice cream. I payed £1.95 for the extra scoop, but it only arrived with one. We wanted 20 mins for our deserts. We were told by one manager they would still be a couple of minutes. It arrived a further six minutes later. On the way out, I told the two managers it was pour service and the food wasn’t much better. They made no attempt to mediate and he only asked where we’d been sitting. I’d spoken with him already at the table. It was down to us as a customer, there was NO attendance, without being asked. Very pour and will not go to this slow food restaurant again. I was watched if I gave a tip by the waitress, I didn’t. I’ve also noticed that there are about 25% poor recent reviews and a nobody is responding to these customer issues. This only compounds my belief, that the management don’t care if they see your custom again. 1/10

Went to Birstall 27 store today. Took 25 minutes for a breakfast and burrito to turn up. The burrito was hot but the breakfast was obviously sat a good 10 minutes waiting for it to cook. Breakfast was barely luke warm on some parts of it and I requested they warmed it up or sorted it out. 15 minutes later I got a new breakfast, which was too rushed as the egg was disgustingly snotty to the point of inedible. Staff couldn't apologise enough to the table behind me either so obviously a bad run for them. Won't be going back to this store in future. �

Very slow service, sat us near the entrance door which was freezing, condescending, and unprofessional staff, small portions and over priced. I was not satisfied! Food is not bad but in no way was the food, combined with the service, value for money. Used to enjoy coming here but it's really gone down hill. Won't be coming again.

Really not a great meal at Birstall today! Food was ok but absolutely freeZing the whole way through. Everyone in the restaurant sat in hats and coats. Desserts had to be sent back when we had asked for them warm and came cold. Bill has been sent back twice after trying to charge for 10 main meals when there is only 5 of us dining. Manager couldn’t get it right and been sat here for 30 mins trying to pay the correct bill when we just want to go home and get warm! Not good.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE & FOOD



My review is based on many visits to this restaurant. I wish to highlight the poor service myself and partner experienced on Saturday 10 March 2018 at Chiquitos. Spending a grand total of £56.70 to dine at your restaurant.



Much to my disappointment, I found that the food (enchiladas for myself, my partner ordered the tacos, starter of nachos to share, follows by sides of - chips, corn, and halloumi) were cold and flavourless due to the method of cooking. For example, the enchiladas had been cooked and rewarmed as the wraps were brittle and filling dry. The outer shell cold (including the tomato sauce) with lack of seasoning. The starter was presented after 45 minutes of the order, then an hour after for the following course (main meal).



I am aware that work of this nature should be carried out in a reasonable time / for a reasonable charge / with reasonable care and skill. However, I do not believe this to be the case with the service I received. Along with the poor point of service, we received in your branch.



The lack of facilities could also be questioned. Upon going to the ladies bathroom, this is fitted with three cubicles. One which was out of order, the other being used by a baby changing room (no baby room in the building) and the last without a lock on the door. Not equipped with toilet essentials required (toilet paper, lock and paper towels) . I’m truly disappointed upon on my visit this time to you branch, but unfortunately, this is not the first time I have had issues.



I emailed to the head of the branch, where they offered me a £15 voucher for my troubles. Although I appreciate the gesture of a £15 Voucher, I shall no longer be dining at your restaurant; nor will those who ask for my opinion on where to dine. The meal itself cost £56.70 so a £15 voucher merely covers less than 25% of the bill paid...



I am truly disappointed with both the restaurant and customer service experience.

My Son took me out for lunch today and was really looking forward to it, Unfortunately not a great experience at Chiquitos Birstall, Took over half hour for meal to arrive and was Luke warm when it eventually came, asked for drinks but finished meal and still not arrived until asking again. Disapointed to say the least

I’m sorry but I’d never recommend this place.. we booked two hours before our film and the starters were cold and 4 of the mains (steak) were bad! Never again

4 if us had to go to watch our film hungry :(

Gone so much downhill it's unrecognisable! Absolutely shocking portion sizes, bland and uninspiring food..



Came here Sunday night for a pals birthday who'd never been before... Wish we hadn't have bothered.. 25+ mins for starters to arrive with no free popcorn or tortillas to snack on while waiting (we were told they'd stopped doing this) starters arrived and were very mediocre.. Just 5 prawns in the chilli prawn starter, the chicken wings were just one large piece, not cut, fried plain and served with a pot of hot sauce..



Then a 30 min wait for the mains... It was a Sunday, hardly anyone in the restaurant so it wasn't busy..



The burrito was mainly rice, hardly any chicken.. Just a burrito on a plate.. No side, no salad, just that �� £13.99! A mate had enchiladas and all that came were two skinny looking wraps on a giant plate, again with nothing else.. £10.99..



What's happened to this place!!
