Well I have to say that I have been in many gyms before, but this one it’s definitely on my list of favourite ones.

This is a lovely little gym in Park Farm, plenty of equipment to go round. The fitness team are young and like to help, though you may need to initiate the contact. Oh, and bring your own music, theirs is terrible ���

Small gym, lovely members and staff! It’s so convenient if you live around the area and you will not be lost for things to do with tonnes of classes and equipment. Brilliant gym to keep you busy and active. Thanks guys �

I have lost three and a half stone here. Great knowledgable staff, Super supportive, helpful and friendly. A lot more close knit than the other bigger Derby gyms I have been to. You are a person not a member. It's a nice atmosphere and welcomes beginners and the older clientele. Great place to train ���

Great little Gym, lovely staff everyones very friendly and helpful. A good variety off classes that cater for everyone. Never overly busy so you can always get on the equipment you want. Would definitely recommend.

Great gym in the heart of Allestree - very handy location at Park Farm shops. Enjoyable classes - Zumba, spin, attack etc. Friendly & helpful staff. Also, I can relax & read the newspapers. �

Good gym, good people, questionable taste in music!



I like training at Choices in Allestree. It's a smaller gym than the Raynesway site but you never struggle to get on any of the equipment and there's lots of equipment to use. The staff are friendly and helpful and are always willing to answer any questions or offer any advice. More importantly, for me at least, is that they're happy to leave you alone to get on with things if you're happy to do so (unless you're endangering yourself or anyone else, obviously!)



If I had pick one negative on the place it would be the music. If you're in to repetitive dance music, you'll love it. However it's not for me at all. If you like any other type of music to train to, or if you just like a variety, I advise that you invest in a decent set of headphones when you join!

1st time in a gym environment and didn't feel out of place good staff helpful good equipment and plenty of it doesn't get to crowded so u have time to use the equipment at ur own pace.

A great place to go and the staff seem friendly enough, however trying to cancel the membership seems impossible, as i live no where near choices now march / 2018 and have not lived within 5 miles of the gym since at-least November 2016* so i asked everything to be sent by email and send copys back with signature which was apparently received at the time and have heard nothing back from anyone since november 2017 , i now receive hounding emails and calls from CRS and Harlands, who want to charge admin fees which are unlawful saying i owe late payments?, i paid at-least 5 months membership without attending to the gym because i've moved away and i'm the one being hounded for more money? i wouldn't sign up for any membership you better off paying for it on the day alone , ruined my experience with these guys and will not recommend anyone that uses harlands as their parent company.

This gym needs a kick up the rear. There is dust several inches thick on windowsills, a dead fly been there for ages, spiders webs in corners have been there for months, also a sticker from someones top has been next to a machine for at least 3 months. There iare often bits of paper towel left lying on the machines.

They play music too loud and the music has swearing in it.

It's also a hazardous place to visit. People leave coats and bags all over and there are often dumb-bells left lying around.

The staff seem to be on elastic which is attached to reception.

Come on Choices, put your glasses on, see the filth, and make this a safe place to exercise.

Your paying members deserve it

Do not use this gym!!! since day one we found most of the staff to be very unhelpful, after our contract had come to an end we handed in our cancellation form as instructed by the staff at choices, how ever the very next month we noticed that a direct debit had been taken out. Now this was actually expected due to their cancellation reputation we found out about after joining choices, just read through their reviews on their Facebook page or google it, it’s even in the Derby evening telegraph by people experiencing the same problem and being chased by debt collectors. We have contacted choices about this and we have received information that we need to call up to cancel rather than hand in a form even though we were instructed to by the manager on duty at the time, to top it off, I handed in my cancellation form to the manager and even though the manager knew what the form was, I wasn’t told I had to cancel any other way, so if I hadn’t of checked, the direct debit would of kept being taken. My advice is to stay away from this gym and invest money in a gym that can provide a much better service and one that provides correct information.
