Chuckle Chimps Mobile Soft Play Hire

A lot of clients ask about cleaning of our equipment and this is an example of why we spend so much time doing just that. After every single hire we do. This is from a recent party we hired soft play to. Before and after cleaning. Grim right? When choosing a party venue things like location, size, facilities, parking etc are all key factors but please look at the floor too. How clean is it? Sure it’s never going to be squeaky clean because it’s a floor but your little people are going to be on it playing (we put lovely clean safety mats down but kids will wander off). We’ve also lost one of our hoppers from what looks to be a shard of glass from the same party. That could have been a child’s foot. Don’t be afraid to ask questions from your venues as you are hiring and paying for their facilities.

Yet again we are awaking to news of children being hurt, thankfully not fatal as it stands, as the result of an accident involving an inflatable. Of the 3 high profile incidents in last few years... one was put up in extremely high winds, one was a sealed unit (ie not using a blower to create a continuous air flow) so was inflated in cooler morning weather only to explode in the red hot summer sun and now this one.... How on earth event organisers would think putting a press...urised bouncy castle/ slide in an environment when pieces of burning fireworks were potentially going to blow across and land on it is beyond me. It is looking like this one was overloaded with children causing the collapse. Inflatables ARE safe IF they are tested and inspected, are put up safely and used correctly. Unfortunately these accidents are seemingly a result of bad judgement, dare I say negligence. So this week there has been apparently massive hype over Zoflora disinfectant following a popular cleaning blogger saying how good it is, leading to it selling out in many stores! To be honest it’s been one of our go-to products for years and especially as we go into sniffles season. It’s easy to see why when you look at the box and what its effective against. They also have a pet enhanced product which is good in summer months where we have soft play hires outside where animals roam. It’s been a pretty busy and stressful sort of week! A fully booked up weekend of parties and on Thursday the clutch decides to pack up on our smaller van and needed completely replacing! 😱 we mainly use our big van and stay together as a team but sometimes time clashes need us to use both vehicles and split up. After a lot of panicked phone calls to garages and finally £600 lighter we were back up and running... so today me and this “helper” were out together. MEET THE TEAM! So this one has now completed his training and graduated to having his very own uniform! My little boy was the inspiration for me starting up Chuckle Chimps after giving up work as Brand Manager for a chain of national soft play centres. The company name was even inspired by his chimpy nickname as a baby! We’ve always have been a family business, we don’t subcontract, and many of you will have met James at parties we’ve done. So.... he’s now officially on the team and is customer engagement officer (mainly because he never shuts up 🙄) - here he is very proud of his new uniform!

Super busy Saturday and Sunday! Here’s a few pics from some our bookings. Family day for us tmrw with our own little one as it’s an extra long weekend!

We often get clients asking if we have a smaller indoor bouncy castle for more space constrained venues. Well we have listened and now we have a 10ft x 12ft castle (8ft tall) available to hire when you book a soft play package with us. Our other two castles are 12ft x 15ft so this is a good bit smaller. All our castles are PIPA registered and tested for safety - and we vacuum and clean with anti bacterial before every party. The video shows the size better with my 5 year old trying out with one of his school friends >>>

A lot of people ask what we do while their parties are running.... well today we were close-ish to home so the super glamorous job is ironing on name labels into school uniform. 9 days and counting!!!!!
