Visiting my daughter in Lincoln ... she is always checking in here on Facebook and now I can see why ... what a fabulous breakfast. Lovely friendly lady served us and happily changed items on our breakfast for us. As for those sausages ... they are the tastiest ever 5* and more. Roll on my next trip🍽🍽🍽

On a visit to Lincoln today from Barnsley, I went to Churchills for the first time today with my Mother-in-Law and Husband (who had visited a few times before), along with my 5 month old son.

We were made to feel very welcome and a table was quickly cleared and cleaned so that we had plenty of space for the pram rather than trying to cram in a corner somewhere.

The staff assisted with preparing my son's meal, and then when our food had arrived and he was still demanding attention, one of your lovely ladies (I wish I knew her name) offered to take him for the rest of his feed, a fuss and a cuddle.

My son is a real flirt and absolutely loved the attention; he loves meeting new people and it gave us the time and space to enjoy our meal (which incidentally was delicious!) and have some much needed grown up space to ourselves.

The staff absolutely went above and beyond to create a wonderful friendly atmosphere and make sure that all 4 of us had the best possible experience on a rare family day out.

Lovely, cosy bistro. We had bangers and mash and it was the best bangers and mash I've ever had. 3 large Lincolnshire sausages, plenty of potato served with fresh carrots and peas and lashings of gravy. The girl who served us was lovely, welcoming, friendly and efficient. We also had a bottle of wine. With the bill coming in at under £22 Churchill's is a must visit. They also serve just tea or coffee too and have a nice outside seating area to watch the world go by. Pop in after some shopping, you won't be disappointed.

I primarily chose Churchills due to it being open early on Sunday and having to catch an 11:00 train. The restaurant is centrally located on the High Street and very easy to find. They were a little busy when I arrived and took a little too long to acknowledge me. However, this did give me plenty of time to check the menu. They have a very good breakfast selection, with plenty of options. I went for their Full Works Breakfast which - as the name suggests - contained everything, including juice and a hot drink. I opted for a Flat white, which arrived quickly but, as I've encountered before, was lava-hot. Coffee is best served hot, but not too hot that it can't be sipped immediately. Minor niggle though. The breakfast followed quickly and was very good. It was generous enough to keep me going until I arrived at Gatwick in the early evening. This also made the choice exceptionally good value for money. High recommended.

Always great service. Always good quality and tasty food.

User

Absolutely fab, we go there all the time. The food is good (and I've sampled quite a lot of the menu!) and the service is always excellent - really friendly and usually quick too.

My son and girlfriend visiting from London asked especially to go out for cooked breakfast instead of Sunday lunch due to their train time. Never been to Churchill's before but booked a table here and we were more than pleased with delicious breakfast, friendly and prompt service and reasonable price. Glad we had pre-booked as very busy. Nice gentleman on next table said he had been coming many years and it's always good. Well done everyone, we will be back !

User

Went here on Saturday-we had to wait to be seated which was fine-we were a table of 6, the service was good, the food is cheap and I think that shows in the quality, I asked for a burger with bacon as an extra, but could I have the bacon well cooked-the burger came out dripping in grease and the bacon was awful! Didn't even look cooked! So I gave that to my husband-took a bite out the burger and it wasn't even cooked in the middle-instantly made me feel sick anyway I sent it back and the staff were lovely about it, all other meals were fine but can absolutely see that it's cheap ingredients, my daughters pizza looked like a microwave one and the puddings were edible but a bit naff really! I would say if u want a cheap lunch then it's fine for that but stick to a panini! Everything else is smothered in grease!

User

Been coming here for a long time but never again.. When two staff could be bothered to serve it was very I can't be bothered, male spent more time messing with his hair, got order wrong and split drinks. Young lass sorted it, ordered food to be told sorry don't have any...... All time there lad fiddled and flicked his hair..... Had come back to Lincoln from North Yorkshire for my birthday but wish I hadn't not bothered..... Gone down hill a lot.

User

One star because you can't rate it as zero.

Burger that was inedible, perhaps a sharp knife may have been useful to slice through the tasteless, cheap lump of fat and gristle that they passed off as a burger.

Frozen chips that were not cooked through and a minute bowl of coleslaw that was warm, I imagine from being left on some worktop for god knows how long before being served.

I pointed out the shortcomings after leaving the meal and the staff demanded I paid in full.

An embarrassment to Lincoln, overpriced, under cooked and damn expensive.

Fortunately I was only a visit to the City, I won't be patronising this disgusting establishment again.

User

Just been sat outside waiting to be seated. We waited and had to go in to ask to be served drinks. They still haven’t arrived and they have just seated 2 other groups of people. We love this place but was very disappointed with the staff on duty today.

User

I had to wait ages to be served, then the food came cold, I asked to swap the tomatoes for extra bacon but got no bacon and extra tomatos...
