Both me and my wife had our celebration meal here with our family and the service was fab!



The owner was down to earth and all the staff gave a brilliant service. Thank you very much for everything!

I held a charity fundraising event for 50 friends and family at Chutney Ivy restaurant in the private function room yesterday evening which raised £922 . It was a great success for a number of reasons the food was plentiful with lots of variety and very tasty dishes, catering for all tastes. The service was excellent and Mr Shaf has been so helpful and generous throughout the lead up to and including the event itself. A great night was had by all and I have received lots of messages today complementing the restaurant.Thank you Chutney Ivy �

Had my husbands surprise party here on the weekend. The manager shaf is a top guy, he listened to what I wanted and gave me options around that, the bar staff are great and a good laugh and the venue is perfect for gatherings and parties.

I have given it 4* for the atmosphere and polite and friendly service. However the food was quite disappointing, flavourless, lacked taste and was quite average. Shame as it is such a nice place otherwise. May not go back�

Always fabulous food , fantastic staff and a very warm genuine welcome on arrival . Shaf and his team are great and Imwould highly recommend Chutney Ivy , it's the best .

Amazing food lovely restaurant will definitely go back! The only criticism is that I ordered king prawns with no coriander and the waiter decided that I wouldn’t like the chilli either, if I didn’t want chilli I would of said!

Went there yesterday for my sis's bday, well what can i say! Been 2 so many indian restuarants! In leicester and out of leicester and abroad but i must say the food here was appalling! Over priced! and tasteless! Very! Very! Bland! 4 a indian restaurant! Not worth the money at all! Sorry but i won't be recommending it! Think u need more spices!! And need 2 bring ur prices down!! Not the best!!!

We went on a Groupon voucher and the food was plentiful - the pickle tray and starters were very good and tasty but the main meal was very disappointing- rice stodgy and the curry and curried vegetables spicy but bland - to top it off was the service charge added to the bill at the end- after querying this it was removed as you are not obliged to pay it- the atmosphere was great but the food let it down so doubt if we would return or recommend to others.

Not usual standard, I would say avoid the post theatre menu absolute rubbish bland expensive slop, unlucky 13 on our table, not even a poppadum each, 2 bits of starter. I would advise stick to the a la carte menu. Very disappointed �

Initial mix-up over pre-theatre menu - after being served drinks & the pickles & popadoms told not available for a single person. So I misread the menu but the waiter should have pointed this out. Chose from the A la Carte only to be told it would take too long to be cooked prior to the theatre. What an hour & an half to cook a curry!! Manager apologised & his excuse was the waiter was new - my food would be served on time. The Duck Samosas were stale - as though they had been reheated from the day before. Nothing special about the chicken curry although it did have a bite. Please explain why a knife & fork is laid to eat curry. Have you ever seen an Indian eat with a knife & fork? I was very disappointed considering meant to have been voted a top restaurant.

Don't get me wrong the food was alright. Not the best ive had but nice.

However we booked on the phone to reserve a table telling him then that we have Groupon voucher and was that okay. He said yes if we come in at half 7.



We did and was sat down at the lounge for 15 minutes even though there was a lot of empty tables. There was a ton of empty glasses all in the lounge not collected.



When we did sit down we was told we wouldn't be able to use the Groupon voucher. After a lengthy discussion they finally let us have the deal but I was already embarrassed from the palaver already.



We was sat next too a table full of dirty dishes which they did not clear and it took 2 and half hours before we was done with our starters and mains. Waiters just chat around at the bar.

The food was so bland, I brought the banquet deal for 4 not a banquet �

Poor service, rude staff with no manners, and to top it off I was served raw chicken, which I was informed 'it's because we are the only restaurant in Leicestershire that doesn't use food colouring so you don't normally see it?!' The chicken was pink, disgusting. I have no idea how this place got voted best restaurant 2017. Much nicer, friendly and well presented Indian restaurants in Leicestershire that serve properly cooked appetising food.
