Went with my daughter to watch Paddington 2 yesterday and had a superb experience. The new refurb is great. Seats are much more comfortable with more leg room meaning people can get past without u having to stand up in your seat. The cinema was clean and the staff very friendly and welcoming was very impressed by this visit.

User

Really impressed with the new look. Appreciate the ease of online booking too (and being able to cancel easily when you make an error!! Eg booking the wrong day!)

User

Love the reverb and also Super Screen 5 👍🏻 A bit pricey but you get what you pay for .. better seating, more leg room, better viewing and when people need to go toilet through the film 😤 there’s enough room for them not to disturb you 👍🏻

User

I went to see Finding Your Feet yesterday with my daughter we were early so went to have a coffee upstairs in Starbucks, I had to use the lift as I have trouble with stairs,we asked where the lift was and not only did the member of staff show us,he opened the door and was very helpful, the cinema was lovely and comfortable and we look forward to going again.

User

I love the new Superscreen and the meal deal choices. Staff are always friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about products and films.

User

I always receive truly excellent service from the staff at this cinema! Even when they are rushed off their feet they are still friendly and polite the new referb is fab, and the superscreen is a VERY welcome addition! The only thing that puts a dampener on my regular visits is inconsiderate cinema goers. Just as an FYI, it’s not acceptable to talk, text or use social media during films. Nor is it okay to leave all of your rubbish and expect the staff to search the entire (and pretty large) theatre for your mess!

User

Cannot thank Jordan enough for the exceptional service shown to my family when situations outside our control meant we were unable to attend our booked showing - Jordan went above and beyond to ensure my family could still see the film and put aside tickets etc which made for a very organized and enjoyable visit we will continue to travel further to come to you than our local cinema due to such great service

User

Big screen, new seating with plenty of leg room. Now bring the day price down to £5 and i would go twice a week. £12.50 for a day showing is a little steep.

User

Been refurbished since we were last there and very smart it is too. We were there for an early showing of the Shape Of Water. Got our tickets from a young lady who was also selling popcorn etc and really enjoyed the film.

The only downside is the bags they sell popcorn in. They must ask for the loudest paper available as the bloke stuffing his face was an isle and two seats away from me and still was louder than the film. Place looked like a pig sty when we left but the same girl who sold us the tickets was there to sweep up the Rubbish.

User

Looking good since refurbishment. New seating area much better especially when meeting up with friends. Great range of films too choose from and comfortable seats for watching. Sometimes find the air conditioning a bit too much. Just wish food, drinks and confectionery wasn’t so expensive. Makes it an expensive night out when taking the family so limits the number of times we can go.

User

It certainly looks nice and the seats are alot better. Queues are an issue with waiting for food drink etc as you get tickets at the counter. Won't bother in the future as I ordered on line. Cinema clean I don't under why people leave their rubbish. They don't in other countries.

User

I love Cineworld and have had my unlimited card without a break since 2005. It’s brilliant to see the investment that’s gone into Northampton and love the refurb and choice of films as a general rule. Now there is sadly a but! Some great films such as call me by your name just dont make it toNorthampton which is a shame. Staff have always been great but sometimes not enough of them and whenever we have a poor experience it’s nine times out of ten down to selfish fellow cinema goers who treat the auditorium as if it’s there own living room by chatting through the film and what’s worse texting! Not always easy or practical to complain and is one if those things as the policy on this is always highlighted before a film starts but some ‘text police’ with powers to chuck out repeat offenders might be a welcome development for many of us. Aside from this niggle they certainly won’t stop us going and continuing to enjoy our local convenient Cineworld.

User

Cineworld is pretty good. The new seats are very comfortable. Snacks and popcorn as always expensive. Staff are pleasant sometimes not that knowledgeable be nice to see more mature staff occasionally. Buying tickets a pain when busy as staff churning out food and drinks as well as selling tickets. Toilets are good. Be good if customers coming in when the film has started were banned as they disturb the experience. Car park a bonus.

User

Wow been done up since I've been and of course price gone up yet again. Upon trying to get the tickets from the machine we had problems and not many staff about ending up going to the till. Upon going into our screen well what can I say Rubbish everywhere (on the seats, floor & cup holders) not even cleaned up from the previous showing very disappointed indeed.

User

Seats are great - the only problems are in the foyer. Long ques to get popcorn and drinks - there are no food only ques. The refurbishment has got rid of the ticket counter - so now all the food tills sell tickets. Which leads to massive ques as people umm and ahh about films and seats. So all those who bothered to book online have to wait for ages to get food/drink. I’ve started getting popcorn and cans of coke from Sainsbury’s and walking straight in to the film. I wonder how many others are doing this, and how much Cineworld are losing out. Make one or two of the ques food only (no ticket sales) that would sort it out!

User

I have no particular issue with the cinema as I’ve been an unlimited member since 2003. However, yesterday I watch a 3d movie for the first time since the refurbishment and realised the red string of lights that run along the steps which pave your route to your seat are incredibly distracting. When sat on an isle seat the red lights reflect on the inside of the 3d glasses, this was very distracting but not only that contributed to a pretty awful headache. Is there any way in which the lights can be dimmed so not to reflect quite so bad?

User

Staff too slow at desk... long queues forming, although friendly enough. Cinema seating very cramped, and needs grab rails to walk up and down steps.

Take a leaf from Vues refurbished premium seating for all screens... reclining roomy leather seats, very comfortable plenty of leg room and costs less than Cineworld!

User

Have been plenty of times with no issue however this evening watching Infinity War the speakers on the left side (from looking towards the screen) were not working. It really was disappointing as the surround sound effect was non-existent. I told a member of staff who came in to listen, I returned to my seat and nothing was done to rectify it. I didn't go out and complain further as I didn't want to miss the film having travelled a way and having a rare evening with babysitters. Really disappointed.

User

BEWARE!

I just want to warn people about buying Cineworld Gift Cards especially if you give them as gifts. Check them straight away to make sure they are valid. I just tried to use mine online and then at Cineworld. The card is showing as inactive and because I haven't got a receipt there is no way of obtaining the value of the card. The manager said the card had been purchased from Cineworld and could have been a staff error but was not prepared to resolve the situation even though I had the card it was attached to. I can't find anywhere to write to either on the website. I am really disappointed with the lack of customer service especially as they are in competition with two other cinemas in the town. I know where I will be going in future!
