Wishing our Muriel a very Happy Birthday today!! She's a very young 90 years old, a valentine baby. Her lovely daughter Gill put on a fantastic birthday spread for all her fellow residents. We have all thoroughly enjoyed celebrating with Muriel with her good friend Will resplendent in his kilt giving out valentine's Rose's to all the ladies. Our Joan was tickled Pink and spent some time trying to find out what he was wearing under it. 😂

Happy Valentine's Day everyone from all of us at Cliftonville!! We had the lovely Amanda Seal sing for us yesterday and what an amazing voice she has!! We had a fabulous time and there was a lot of love in the air.

Yesterday we got very creative with Lily making valentine's cards as well as the start of our spring project working with clay. Watch this space and all will be revealed next month!!

It's been a battle between the gents today during carpet bowls!! But our gorgeous Colin was victorious and took the trophy from last weeks winner - our lovely Ted. We definitely think the relaxing hand and arm massage that Colin received from Ronan ( holistic massager) helped. Congratulations Colin. X

Aww...we have captured some lovely moments with our beautiful memory care residents recently. Mary has enjoyed reminiscing and looking at books with Clare, Nancy enjoyed time with Siobhan and it's been a pamper day for all. Yesterday we made cushions and this morning we enjoyed a lovely sing a long and are always pleased when family join us!! This afternoon was our residents meeting which was extremely positive with plenty of new ideas being shared. Exciting times ahead!!

We battled the elements as we took our lovely gents for a pint and a slap up meal at poppie fields this afternoon. It may of been chilly outside but we were definitely kept warm and entertained inside as the gents regaled us with tales from their youth. A lovely afternoon with fantastic company!!

While storm Ciara has raged outside we have been warm and kept ourselves busy this weekend!! We've enjoyed films, quizzes, cake decorating with our staff, welcoming our furry friends and much more!!

We had the lovely Sarah from Reminiscence World visit us on Wednesday. She brought her mystery boxes with her and we all thoroughly enjoyed all the various objects she showed us. Thank you Sarah for a fabulous morning, we love your visits. X

A massive thank you to our lovely Beauty Therapist Anne-Marie for a wonderful day pampering our gorgeous ladies, they are thrilled with their nails Don't forget that Anne-Marie will be visiting us regularly to offer various treatments for residents, families, friends and staff. Her next visit is the 20th February from 10.30am and you will find her in our salon. All welcome!!

Say hello to Amanda the editor of our new quarterly magazine 'Cliftonville'. Amanda wanted to do a magazine for the residents and staff as well as involving our residents in producing it. The magazine is packed full of interesting information as well as several pieces about staff and residents. We think it's amazing and the first edition can be found at reception! Well done Amanda, we are all proud of you. X

Theres nothing better than the smell of freshly cut flowers and our ladies certainly enjoyed arranging them this afternoon! Lovely displays were made for their rooms and around the home.

Well what a lovely Monday!! After a vigorous exercise session with Paul this morning we popped out for a bite to eat and some fresh air. Scampi & chips was a firm favourite followed by apple crumble and custard. Delicious!! Also this morning our Jim enjoyed a visit from his daughter while Violet had her nails done. 😀
