Look what's cooking tonight for tea! Hopefully this paint will stop on better than the last stuff!

It's been a while since this motor has seen the light of day!

Well after stripping the paint of on my frame tonight ready for welding up and modifying as per the other frame has revealed more of its past! It looks like a previous owner has already been down the route that I'm at already ! Found a nice repair job done on one of the down tubes, hopefully once I'm done with it that should be it done once and for all, fingers crossed!

Well tonight I've managed to get hold of a standard Tz frame that's been modified by Harris back in the 80's. By the looks of it there's no wonder mine snapped!

A nice pair of new carbs arrived through the post today for the Tz , thanks to Motocarbs for these! On the down side we still have loads to do to the frame and it not looking like we will make Oulton Park due to work commitments. I think we will spend sometime sorting it out for the rest of the year and have a full committed go next year with it.

Well what is there to say about the weekends racing! Apart from it was mega! It was the first time I'd ridden the Tz 350 and the first time I'd really ridden a 2 stroke since I was Ninteen. It was a big eye opener, and I've learnt a lot. We had one DNF in the first race due to an exhaust spring snapping and the exhaust blow off apart from that it ran trouble free! Massive thanks to GP Originals for making this event happen and for making us so welcome also thanks to Tony Williamson for the help over the weekend and to Nicki for all her support. We have a lot of work to do to it now! But we are already looking forward to the next round at Oulton Park.

Well after yet another full on day finishing the odds and ends of on the Tz it is final finished and ready for the weekend. Many thanks to my fiancee Nicki for putting up with me for the last few weeks, I just hope now everything goes ok this weekend.

User

That's heat cycle number 2 done tonight! All's well and the rev counter is working this time!

User

Well after a lot of late nights and many hour of work the Tz finally ran today for the first time In 4 years or more! A big relief as I'm out on it next week at GP Originals

User

Bit more done on the Tz tonight, the petrol tap was missing a gauze filter so we have had to make amends as you can't get these anymore! Thanks to Electrex World for building the stator plate up wrongly so nothing linded up at all, after a bit of swapping the back plate around it lined up as it should and timed up easily. We now have a spark!

Something in life are sent to try us and this is one off them! 3 hours later we have a front brake! On the plus side the front wheel didn't need balancing.

Well I'm on a three day week at the moment at work ( my choice ) to get the Tz ready for Cadwell in less than two weeks. Big day today getting all the frame sorted out ! Gave it a quick spray can job just to get it away, we will paint it properly once we've ironed out the problems. Hopefully get the motor back in it tomorrow and we should be read for firing it up at the weekend!

User

Another busy night in the workshop, managed to get the Tz striped back to a bare frame and all the old bracket work ground back ready for the new rearset brackets and rear engine mount to be welded on tomorrow. Doing this has revealed another crack running up the frame tube! One step forward, two back as they say! Tho it can easily be sorted!

User

Well another late night in the workshop trying to get the Tz finished! We are out on it in a little over 2 weeks time at GP Originals. We've done the dry build I've just got to strip it and weld up the frame properly and remove all the existing rear engine mounts and rear sets brackets. Failing an unforeseen problems we should be there tho it will look a bit of a shed but it will be mechanically sorted!

First time out on the little 156cc Fantic and we finished in second place out of an entry of 64, I'm happy with that! It's be 18 months since I last rode a trial. I just need to find time to get out a bit more now! Thanks to North Lincs Classic Club for putting on a good event and all observers and to John Wilkinson for the photo.

User

Fantastic night up at Cadwell last night, great to catch up with everyone. Even managed to get the Tz half put together to take it up, hopefully next we are there with it we will be racing it! Thanks to Errol for making the night happen.

It's nice to have been given a chance to have an involvement in this for RFS tune. A well tricked up Lambreta motor that will be ridden by Paul Fitzgerald in the BSSO championship. I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes, me be a bit of a 2 stroke man now!

User

Got the worsed job in the world done last night ! The screen fitted ! Also the top fairing bracket done. It's not a million miles away now!
