Today at Coppice Lodge we have had 2 Birthdays.
Margret and John both celebrated today with lots of family and of course some homemade Birthday cake Happy birthday to you both from everyone at Coppice Lodge. ❤️🍰🎂🍾🍷

Pancake day is here at Coppice Lodge and we had a special guest to help us.
The super dooper cool Ted, he is only at Coppice Lodge for the day so we made the most of him. He is a very cheeky boy, when I was setting the trays up for the residents to decorate there Pancakes, he took a pancake and ate it 😂
... Ted also wanted to say hello to staff and residents before helping to clean up then get his hair trimmed. He has definitely had a busy day. Along with the residents #superted #pancaleday

We welcomed back after a 2 week break the children from the eagles nest and of course Laura and Clive.

This morning we used our very own Cinema room to do some Armchair exercises using the big screen, we had June, Ruth, Ron, Janet, Pat and Brenda.
They all got involved and the exercises were very managable and they all really enjoyed it. #workout #kerpfit

This is FREE community event. The venue is the Labour club, 79 High street,Arnold, Nottingham NG5 7DN on Friday 13th December, in there smaller back room. Come along and meet new people, have a chat, a cuppa and a cake. Maybe a dance to lift your spirits to some wonderful big band, 1940's and 50's music. We also do requests, so the music is down to yourself on the day.... Reminisce the afternoon away with like minded people. The Labour Club offers a warm and friendly room for this event with a fully licensed bar if you would prefer to have something a little stronger than tea or coffee. We will have free cakes, free tea's and coffee's for all to enjoy. No need to book, just turn up. If this is successful we will be doing one once a month each month after. We look forward to meeting you all. Come along and have a noisy, you have nothing to lose as its totally free.

This morning at Coppice Lodge we had the very energetic Rachel from boogie beatz.
It was a fantastic session with lots of residents getting involved and it's safe to say they have all definitely had some exercise. Ron was on top form along with Janet who both hot up with Rachel and did some of her moves 😂

Today at Coppice Lodge we had our Monthly Pop-up restaurant. Today's theme was steakhouse as choose by the residents. ON THE MENU. Cream of tomato soup with croutons.. Steak chips tomatoes mushrooms onion rings and peppercorn sauce...... Cheesecake with strawberries and chocolate on the top.
The residents really enjoyed there and wine and for Michael it was half a John Smith's.
Mavis said "thank you I haven't had steak for such a long time it was delicious" Pat added " we are very spoilt here" David "super as always".

Today myself and David went our weekly walk
As we got to front street David recognised the front street cafe as we had been there before and wanted to stop for a cup of tea and as you know at Coppice what our residents want our residents get, so tea and toasted teacake it was.
Afterwards we went around a few shops and had a look around and David "why do women love shopping" 😂... It was him that wanted to go in the shops, he also said to me on the way back to Coppice "you know I look forward to this walk, it really makes me happy" #makingadifferance #myjobisamazing #walkingforhappiness

This morning I have spent some Quality 1 to 1 time with Anne, even though she didn't want to do anything like go for a walk or watch TV, we still sat and listens to the radio and held hands.
This may not seem alot to many people but to Anne in her own words it meant alot she said "it's nice just to have some company when i don't feel like being around everyone else's".
Anne also pulled me up on my word pronunciation.😂... I felt like I was back in school and Anne was my teacher, when I told her this she laughed and said "I wouldn't be your teacher" 😂 Thanks Anne #Qualitytime #1to1

With the help of the lovely Raue, Gill, Graham, Norman and John we have decorated all the meaning dignity phrases on the hearts and hung them on the tree. #Dignity #makingaifferance
