A bit of background…………. Massage of the head has been practiced in India for over 1000 years. Techniques were restricted to the head and hair to improve the condition of the scalp & hair but were developed by Dr Norendra Mehta to include the upper back, shoulders, neck, upper arms & face. Dr Mehta arrived in the UK in the early 1970’s to train as a physiotherapist. Missing the benefits of home he decided to introduce & develop it in the west.
For Indian mothers, massage i...s regarded as an essential skill and an important means of communicating & bonding with their children, helping to create a secure and caring atmosphere in the home. Today many Indian babies still receive daily head massages to keep them in good health. From age 3 - 6 they are massaged once or twice a week. After age 6 they are asked to share the massage technique with other members of the family.
And the treatment…………… Performed with the client in a seated position, treatment can be given with or without oils & through light clothing or wearing a sarong type robe.

New Years Eve tomorrow & what a year! When 2018 arrived I was still living/working in Bahrain. I don't want to rain on anyones parade but I think It really is worth reading the labels & finding out what exactly is in your favourite fabulous nail varnish.
The big five which are of serious concern are : 1. DBP (DIBUTYL PHTHALATE) 2. TOLUENE ... 3. FORMALDEHYDE 4. FORMALDEHYDE RESIN 5. CAMPHOR It's not for me to 'drone on' about it, I was just horrified to learn what is hidden in those pretty coloured bottles.
Reassuring to find there are safer alternatives, brands such as Smith & Cult, Kure Bazaar, Zoya, Butter etc. the list is growing with demand & all produce varnish - free of the 5......better to be safe 💅
