The best thing about Danesgate is is lovely staff. The building is well maintained including heating, plumbing and fire alarms. The location is great too, tesco is a three minute walk and so is the high street. If you are new to Lincoln or to university this is the exact place you want to be. And if you ever run into a problem the staff here, are always happy to assist!

Stayed here for my first two years at uni and loved all of it. The accommodation is modern and freshly refurbished, the staff are lovely and will help with anything you need, plus it's a great location right in the centre of town. Overall would recommend to any new student!

Stayed here for last term and can say the staff are brilliant and friendly, security is always around during the night and in a great place in town for clubs, shops, etc. Rooms and kitchens and great and easy to keep clean too!

Staff and very friendly and attentive. Any problem is not a problem to them! The rooms are modern and spacious. The accommodation itself is located close to the main shops and is only a short walk to university campus. The only downfall to the location is not being able to park your car, but I soon got used to not having it around. Wish I could stay here agin next year!!

My time at danesgate has been nothing but surprising, fun and amazing, solely down to the lovely staff that have contributed to my experience. Kate and Emma are incredible and were quick in ensuring all my needs were met and are very chatty and take a genuine interest in your wellbeing whilst at university.

Not only are the room sizes great and spacious but the decor and interiors of the bedroom and kitchen are unlike any other Lincoln student accommodation, also at a great price! I lived in Danesgate for my first year and liked it so much I had to rebook for a second year, very close to all amenities, clubs, city centre and university. Security are great and there is always someone on site 24/7 365 days. I would definitely encourage any students to live in danesgate!

Living here for the first two years of uni has been incredible, even the smallest rooms are large enough for you to spread out and create your own home, not to mention the views. The bathrooms I’d go as far as to say that they beat any other student flat ensuites in Lincoln (out of all I’ve seen). The kitchens are large and modern with enough cupboard space, never had to wait for the oven as there’s 2, flatscreen tv with lots of channels etc.

The staff are wonderful! Kate and Emma are friendly and reliable, always there to chat and for more serious stuff they couldn’t be more helpful! Very keen to make you feel at home. Dan the handyman is always on hold to help if something needs fixing, I broke my towel rack and it was fixed within the hour!

The security is brilliant here also, Simon in particular is keen to keep everybody safe, extremely kind-hearted, always there to chat when you get in from a night out and keeps track of everyone’s names and faces.

ALL the staff aim and succeed in making Danesgate feel homely, really lifting the fear you may feel going away from your hometown for the first time. ✨

Lived here for two years now and can say that it’s mostly down to the staff that I’ll be back next year. Extremely friendly and always there for a chat or help whenever you need it! The rooms are great size, love the double bed and the view of the cathedral is unbeatable. Such a great place next to the clubs, town and not too far from uni too.

Lived here for first and second year and loved it! Staff are super friendly and are quick to respond to any problem you may have. The location is very ideal and literally a minute away from the city centre. If you’re lucky you get a breathtaking view too!

Kate, Laura and the team on reception/maintenance will go out of their way to help you and on the whole it’s a lovely place to live and is central to everything.

I've only been here for just over a month and couldnt ask for a better place to stay. Rachel and kate are friendly and are always happy to help with any problems. If there is a maintenance issues Dan is always straight to the problem sorting it.

Definitely coming back next year!

I've lived in Danesgtae for the past year, in a studio flat. My time here has been made so enjoyable by the extremely welcoming staff; they truly care about their students, and something as simple as 'Good Morning, have a great day' can make such a difference to your morning.

The studio apartments are spacious, and offer plenty of room to be comfortable and make it your own little bubble.

The continuous security on the door makes you feel safe, but there is also always a face to say hello to no matter what time you're walking home.

I encourage every potential student to consider Danesgate as their home for a year or more, I've truly felt at home and welcomed here.

I have stayed in Danesgate for two years and it’s been perfect. It’s a great location for student nights, shopping and eating out. The flat itself is nice and spacious, the kitchen is modern and there is more than enough storage for everyone (cupboards and fridge space, ect). The En-suite is ideal, and it’s the best value for money! The staff are also amazing, always there to help with anything and for a friendly chat. I highly recommend!

I have stayed here for a year now as an overseas student and absolutely loved it. The accommodation is right in the centre of town and close to everything. Whenever you have a problem it will be sorted almost immediately and you never feel as if you have to wait for something to be done. I would really really recommend Danesgate House!!

I have really enjoyed my stay at Danesgate and I can’t wait to return next year. The staff are so kind and friendly, and they have made it easier to make Danesgate feel like home. The apartments are a really good size and it gives students the space they need.

I have only stayed in Danesgate a month or so for the remaining part of my third year. This is the best place I have stayed at where I have felt welcome, comfortable and relaxed. I stayed in a 5 bed flat in a ensuite room.



I can’t thank the staff enough - Emma, Kate and Dan from the maintenance team who have been nothing but generous and kind. They even lent me emergency bedding when I was currently moving out from my awful situation in my other accommodation.



They are also a very welcoming and friendly team. Whenever you pass reception they always say; hi, how are you?’ Or ‘Good Morning and have made sure I am well and everything in the flat and my room is fine. Even when there was a maintenance problem with my shower in the ensuite they ensured it was sorted and fixed.



Throughout my three years, Danesgate has been the most pleasant accommodation I have stayed in.



The homes for students housing team at Danesgate should be commended for their hard work and care.

I have lived in Danesgate for two years now and I wouldn’t go back! It’s in a brilliant location close to shops, Places to eat and great for nights out. Lovely modern rooms with an ideal en-suite and more than enough storage space in the kitchens. The reception staff Kate and Emma are amazing and are always there for a chat, not forgetting the lovely cleaning staff and Dan the handyman! Would highly recommend!

Having lived in Danesgate House for 2 years now, I have just rebooked to live for a further year.



Located in the city centre, you are never more than a 5 minute walk away. The building itself is very well kept, and on the rare occasion an issue does arise, the maintenance team are very quick to fix any problems. The facilities exceed those of alternative student accommodation in Lincoln, including quick, reliable WiFi as well as large TVs in every kitchen.



The staff (Emma, Kate and Dan) are friendly which makes Danesgate a very easy place to settle into. 24/7 security means you always feel safe in the building, too.

First off the internet at Danesgate house wasn't the best but after working with the ict team that was quickly fixed. This has been my only issue at Danesgate house and if there was another issue it was fixed usually within the day. The staff are very welcoming and accommodation for new and old students and make the experience staying in Danesgate house even better, i would highly recommend Danesgate house to anyone going to university in Lincoln.

Before moving in, the staff were very supportive in helping to finish my application and made me feel secure that I had a place to stay for the first year. Stayed in an en-suite, and when maintenance problems occurred, staff provided quick service to sort that (not anything major: things like blockages in the sink, shower etc.). Convenient location spot as it's next to the town and in close range to the clubs. Overall, had a good experience and glad I had stayed here for my first year. Thank you Danesgate!
