A quick update from Sally Hi Karen thank you so much for sending these through. If you get a moment to post on Facebook that I had much better night last night & less sore this morning. Am off to Cornwall tomorrow & hoping to do a bit of surfing with my son. Could be tricky getting into my wet suit but I'm going to give it a good go ūüėÖ. ***UPDATE *** We now have filled the rota with big thanks to the Long Buckby Hockey Club who have provided a large number of the volunteers for their parkrun takeover this week.

Just want to share an email we have received from Sally that had a wee fall this morning "i am just emailing to say a huge thank you to all the people who helped me today when I took a very nasty tumble during the Park Run this morning. I would especially like to thank the very kind man who stopped for me, unfortunately I do not know his name, he was in one of the lovely purple t-shirts, he told me that my fall was very dramatic! Also Debbie, the first aider who came to my re...scue. This was my 49th run and I was feeling really good following the 31 min pace maker, sadly the hump just before the bridge was my downfall, literally, I never usually take this route and will certainly never do so again ūüėĘ. I am very sore and know that I will be very stiff tomorrow morning but hopefully in a few days I will be feeling more like myself." Thanks to Sally for letting us know she is ok and thank you to everyone that helped

We can't promise sunshine in the morning to celebrate our 250th Daventry parkrun, but we can give you pacers ranging from 21 minutes all the way through to 40 minutes thanks to Daventry Road Runners. We also have a full roster of volunteers, chocolate and there may also be some cake. Milestone t-shirts are a bit of a sore point with some but if you have one why not wear it tomorrow to help us celebrate and runners please all we ask is that you don't forget your barcode. See you all in the morning.ūüėÉ

This Saturday sees us celebrating our 250th parkrun the theme being milestones so we are asking everyone volunteers and runners to wear any milestone t-shirts that they have earned. There will be cake, chocolates and pacers provided by Daventry Road Runners. We do however need some HIgh Viz Heroes - Marshalls, Bar Code Scanners and a Funnel Manager so if you can help please let us know here or email Daventry@parkrun.com. Many thanks.

Great news, folks! The Council have just confirmed that the Welton Road Undercroft Car Park (known to us as the Underground) will be open from 08:30 on Saturdays commencing 6th July. Please spread the word and use it whenever possible as the Council will be monitoring its usage, and we all know the saying "Use it or Lose it".
