Dog & Duck Beefeater

Ordered two ribeye steaks medium rare. They were poorly cooked, like they'd been cooked on a very low heat for too long.

A good steak should be seared on the outside and tender in the middle.

Ours were just a gooey mess. Expected better. Not sure if I'd bother again.

Been here many times, the lady that is normally on the welcoming desk was not there this time (she is always miserable & unwelcoming) so was hopeful for a good meal. Our waitress was lovely, friendly & helpful. Ordered a larger & 3 gin & tonics, so disappointing as again (like the last time we were there) they were served in thick glasses you normally see kids drinks in, just spoils the enjoyment of my drink served like this. I has steak & salad, steak was a little tough, salad was just green leaves, very unexciting & not really that pleasant. Asked for new potatoes with my meal & the amount of potatoes on my plate was ridiculous, enough for 3 good portions, had to remove lots as the plate was covered! Our friends chicken was burnt & even though our meal was booked for 7pm before our order was taken we heard our waitress state that they had run out of cheesecake!!

All in all rather disappointing, only keep visiting as our friends can’t travel too far.

A few of the staffs are very hospitable and good. But if late most of the staff have become incompetent and they make numerous mistakes in taking orders. Also the quality of food has deteriorated. Had been having meals here for the last 7 month's... and as time passed by the perception shared by the actions if the staff, is that they did not want to serve us. The managers need to make sure that the staff have the basic demeanour to be part of this hospitality industry.



Again a few of the staffs have been really saving the game... otherwise it would be just a torture to eat a meal here.



THE Chefs inside are careless, the way the food is presented on some days, shows their lack of eagerness to work.. and this you would get to see even as early as at Breakfast

Well where do I begin...



Problem 1: about 60% of the menu was not available due to not having the stock



Problem 2: peppercorn mill went everywhere due to the top screw not fitting on the base



Problem 3: dead horsefly found under chips



Problem 4: forgot some of my order



Problem 5: when replacing my order my steak knife was took and upon receiving my food before I even got a chance to ask for another the waiter ran off



Problem 6: steak had gone dry by the time my food returned



Problem 7: overcharged on the bill, had to ask for it to be fixed



I had the gut instinct to leave when they said they couldn't serve some food, guess I won't have that problem again as I won't be going back.

Gutted as it is usually good
