Very sad Owl update - we became concerned over the barn owl as the day progressed, as seemed docile and lethargic. Made calls to Hawk and Owl Trust, advised to ring if still the same tomorrow, same from Rspca, rang them again this evening as owl still sat on grass, could walk right up to it. They said they'd prioritise, and send an inspector out, then phoned back to say no one could attend until tomorrow. Asked if there was a raptor emergency place I could take it to locally, they didn't know. Rang PDSA said it's probably dehydrated, but they don't deal with wildlife! All totally useless, and now sadly the poor thing has just passed away. 😢😢🦉. 💔

We have a large range of #bulbs now in, ready for planting this #Autumn for springtime #flowers. 🌷 All are sold loose, and are good sizes (no nasty pre-packs with inferior bulbs). Daffodils are in short supply this year due to the weather, so don't miss out!

There's always a friendly welcome from the approachable and knowledgeable staff, they couldn't be more helpful. Wether its giving sound professional advice, helping with local community projects or delivering our amazing Christmas trees every year, they're always happy to help. We can't recommend them highly enough. Thank you guys!

We have bought all our plants from Donington Nurseries for many years. The staff are very knowledgable about everything they grow and give lots of useful advice - I can't recommend them enough!

Visited yesterday and got some great advice on planting up some pots, bought some lovely plants and they’ve turned out pretty well, definitely recommend a visit!

Visited this super nursery for first time today while visiting friends. It's one of the best nurseries I've visited in a long time. Neat & tidy presentation of superb herbaceous, climbers, bedding , roses, trees & shrubs in a clean well kept retail outlet. Having worked in garden centres for 23 years it was a joy to find this gem. I'm only sorry I live in Hampshire otherwise I'd be a regular visitor. I'm sure my friends having just bought their first house will be visiting again. Can't wait for my next visit to Derbyshire.

Very helpful & friendly staff at Donington Nurseries. Recently purchased a couple of planters as a gift for my mum. Rebecca was very helpful & knowledgeable about the type of plants she suggested. I went with her good advice and Rebecca made a wonderful job of planting the pots. My mum was delighted with her garden gifts. Thank you. I shall definitely buy from here again.
