Steve and I have had a fabulous few years launching and running Doorstep Baking. We have made the decision to close the baking mix side of the business with immediate effect. We will continue to make celebration cakes to order so don't worry if you have already reserved a date with us. Thank you to all our loyal customers and the friends we have made along the way. We really have had a lot of fun along the way but times have changed and we have both returned to careers that we love in the education and emergency services world.

First cake of the year is for an 80 year old. She started the year with a lovely surprise dinner surrounded by her family.

Happy New Year to all our customers. We wish you all the best for a tasty 2017. If you are looking to book a celebration cake this year then please get in touch to reserve your date. We do have limited availability for some months throughout the year. We can talk design much nearer the date but it is best to get booked in soon so you don't miss the date. As all our cakes are handmade and decorated we can't over book to ensure the quality of our cakes.

Thank you to everyone who came to support the Mawsley Food and Drink Festival. We had a fantastic day and have had great feedback from customers and traders. We are going to put our feet up and enjoy all the delicious food and drink we purchased. We hope you are too! See you the same time next year!

The cake exceeded all our expectations, it looked amazing and tasted better with the combination of chocolate and sponge fillings.



Our buffet was a well thought through and varied selection of finger food with plenty for all the guests, it even had enough to feed the hungry DJ's....



The whole package was delivered with military execution which meant we had one less thing to worry about and time to concentrate on other arrangements for the party.



I will definitely be knocking on your door for future celebrations and would highly recommend to anyone who needs a friendly, professional, fantastically talented family run business!

Strawberry, chocolate and vanilla layered cake was a lovely (and delicious) surprise - though we didn't really want to cut it as it looked so beautiful. We took it to the restaurant and so many people asked us about it. :-) Fabulous service too ... Cake delivered to my door. Another cake ordered, this time for partner's 40th -would definitely recommend!!!!! X
