Emily Breden Dramatherapy

Provision of Individual & Group Dramatherapy and multi-disciplinary, AHP & Educational Supervision. Face to face and Skype sessions are available.

I am an HCPC registered Dramatherapist based in Leicestershire. Alongside my Dramatherapy practice, I also specialise in Play Therapy for children aged 5 – 12 years.

Since graduating from Derby University in 2009 I have worked extensively with children, adolescents and adults with a wide variety of therapeutic requirements. These include Acquired Brain Injury, Cerebral Palsy, Selective Mutism, Autism, Asperger’s, Learning Disabilities and Learning Difficulties. My practice also includes providing therapeutic intervention for Mental Health Disorders deriving from Trauma, Abuse, Neglect, Bereavement, Loss and Separation. I have a particular interest in Brain Injuries and Forensic Dramatherapy with adolescents and adults.

I work regularly with AAC (Assistive and Augmentative Communication) devices in order to provide a means for communication with non-verbal clients.

Within my practice I also offer sessions to therapy students as part of university course requirements.

I am presently training in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and will offer this as a further service in 2015.

To complement my clinical practice I also work as an actor with the Leicester based theatre company KLiC.
