... Your money goes towards projects such as CodeX who teach coding to neuro-diverse children, aiming to increase their chances of employment, as well as to girls with the hope of reducing the gender gap in STEM subjects. This year they've gained a number of new contracts with schools and are hoping to continue to grow within the Nottingham community. To find out more about what they do check out their website!! https://www.codexenactus.co.uk/…

We’ve travelled 5731 miles to Brazil!! 🇧🇷🇧🇷
Brazil is home to the project IARA created by Enactus Cefet/RJ. This project aims to reduce the effects of poor sanitary conditions in local communities through technology installed in houses, providing easy access to clean, safe water.
... The first district they worked in was Suruí where most of the residents did not have accesss to the public water supply system. They have trained some of the residents to develop the technology and market and sell it to the community. This generates extra income and expands the reach of the project.
If you’d like to find out more about their work please visit their Facebook page!

Our second member profile!! 😱
Name: Adam Kulpa Joined: October 2018 Position: CodeX Tech Team... Degree: Computer Science
Best experience in Enactus so far:
Apart from the training weekend where I met many many cool people, going to London to present about Enactus and university life to Harris Westminster Sixth Form was something completely new to me and I loved the excitement! It was also a free adventure 😊. P.S. While interviewing people for CodeX teaching roles I realised that being on the other side of the table feels great!
What would you like to be remembered for?
I’d like to be remembered for never turning down an opportunity if I can physically make it, or making the CodeX website, instead I will most likely be that guy that wears shorts regardless of weather 👀
Described in 3 words by a fellow team members: hardworking, kind, positive

Today Amazon Skyped in with us to give us some talks on Amazon Web services, selling on amazon and the application process for internships and grad jobs 🎓 They also did a leadership session with the members which was great!
We look forward to seeing how the teams use this inspiration to integrate technology into their businesses 💻

Around the World Update #2
We’ve made it to Assiut in Egypt 🇪🇬 Our members have travelled 2468 miles in 11 days!!
Assiut is the home of Enactus Assiut. We contacted them to find out a bit more about them and this is what the team had to say:
... We are glad that we are your second stop and we would happily contribute to your journey "Around the World".
As for our projects, we worked at Al-Ghanaiem village in Assiut, where we found Nabiha, a very talented woman with amazing wood crafting skills. However, she had a serious financial problem. We knew we could help. She may lack essential marketing skills but the opportunity to change Nabiha's life was there. And therefore we started project "Nabiha".
We contacted 7 traders that have an interest in what Nabiha crafts, making her able to sell more of her goods, know the needs of the market, and position herself among possible wooden crafts providers. Nabiha wasn't just gifted in making regular wooden crafts that the market needs, she also made astonishing work of arts with wood. And with that, we started an online marketing campaign that will expand her target audience and expand her business by providing an alternative good that she may sell. Nabiha now earns her living through her talent, passed her financial crisis, and sustaining a successful business.
How amazing! 💕

We need your help!!!
Every year Ucycle sells out its selection of bikes, helping the environment and getting you guys from A to B. However, Ucycle won't be able to operate if they don't have use of the warehouse. In the past, this warehouse has also helped us run Re-covered, an upcycling furniture business - it really is key to helping Enactus Nottingham projects thrive.
So here's the issue - It's currently full of old furniture and bit and bobs that we need to get rid of. But we can't do this alone.... So in return for your manpower we're offering FREE PIZZA, music for you to get down and boogie to whilst you work, and the chance to take home ANY PIECE OF FURNITURE FOR FREE.
