Visited lounge in the afternoon. It was very quiet, food was surprisingly very nice and hot and being refilled and checked by the staff all the time. I like the cold food selection as well. The lounge is very clean and the staff was very friendly. This lounge is definitely better then the one in New York so I would definitely come back. Thank you

I’ve used the lounge a couple of times now and I love it. I’ve always found the staff to be really helpful and friendly and it’s a great way to relax before your flight.

My last visit was early in the morning and there was a great choice of breakfast items available, bacon, sausage, beans, porridge, a choice of cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit and delicious pastries. Also a full bar although it was a bit early for me!

First time using escape lounge at East Midlands on 22nd. Had a bad trip down with some numpty turning a wagon over near junction 23a and highways department not putting clear signs for Junction 24. So we were a bit late. However used our Dragon Pass for the Escape and what a lovely 35 minutes we spent there. Staff were excellent and the food and drinks were brilliant. Will certainly use again and recommend to anyone.

Being celiac I struggle to find something to eat in the airport, so I didn't hold out much hope in the lounge. I was wrong the wonderful chef couldn't do enough for me. I had a very nice sandwich & CAKES �. And he came to check that I didn't need anything else b4 he left. I'm now stuffed & very Happy. Thank u x

Been to lots of airport lounges including escape but east midlands beat them all food service and location in airport .thankyou for a great relaxing 2.hour.�

Amazing lounge! Lovely English breakfast buffet, cereal and pastries plus free sparkling wine to make bucks fizz. Great coffee machine too. The lounge was peaceful and relaxing and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Far better than the Escape lounges at Manchester and Heathrow!

We have booked in at the escape lounge the last two times we have been away and as my wife is quite the nervous flyer it has given her somewhere quiet and comfortable to relax before our flights. We were hoping to book again this year however with my wife having a severe nut allergy and recently seeing your advertising introducing peanuts into your lounge it has very much scuppered our plans to book again

Visited in July 2017. Lovely welcome, shown to our reserved booth and talked through what was available. Team let down by one unsmiling older gentleman clearly unsuited to the hospitality industry. When we ordered some bacon sandwiches he said to his colleague "They're for the table over there who have already ordered 10". When I ordered a vodka and orange he gave me neat vodka and sent me to the fruit juice machine even though the person who served us previously had used the fruit juice clearly visible in the fridge behind the bar.

The food has gone downhill

The sandwiches are dry and the amount of choice is now less than before. It's becoming a regular occurrence that sandwiches run out and we have to wait for replacements

Having used the Escape lounge many times in the past and been thrilled with the service, products and value for money we were once again looking forward to a re-visit.

Since our last visit in September 2017, I believe the lounge has been taken over by the airport and sadly it is not for the the benefit of the customer.

Our visit this time was during the morning period to which we were offered a buffet style breakfast consisting of porridge, various fruits, yogurts, cereal, plain rolls etc. The hot option was purely beans or bacon.......no eggs, sausages etc.

I can't put my finger on it but It all felt quite meagre in comparison to previous visits.

Plenty of alcohol on offer which is of course a benefit.

All in all we felt as though £50.00 per couple was an awful lot to pay for a service that is now substantially inferior to what it was a few months ago.

Don’t bother wasting your money very very basic menu.

Used the lounge before when it was with the old company and it was amazing choice of food with a big selection for breakfast now they don’t even offer toast.

£90 for 4 is us complete rip off.

Staff were very pleasant tho.

After using the lounge in May for a family holiday I was really impressed with the service, staff and food/drink selection, so decided to book again!

As before the staff were polite and friendly and a credit to the airport, however the food selection had changed to buffet style and the hot food selection was abmisbal new potatoes, cauliflower cheese and bolognaise pasta! Had to wait 30 minutes before the food was topped up which then vanished within minutes due to the volume of people using the loung. The drinks selection has also changed and only one beer is now offered! For this reason I will probably not come back to this lounge in the future, which is a shame as it’s a lovely space! It needs to get its charm back to make you feel as though you can sit back and relax and get your holiday started before you fly. It’s now impersonal and just an addition to another bar within the airport in my eyes not worth £50 for 2 people.

When you book this and there are only 2 people who are working on check in so your pushed back getting through to the lounge at 5.15 only to be told it shuts at 6pm! Wouldn’t bother wasting £58.00 !!!!! Con!

The escape lounge has gone down hill very badly. As a frequent flyer I will not be visiting this establishment ever again. Complete utter waste of money. You would get better food and choices in a truckers cafe. I used to use this place 2 to 3 times a month. Never again. Very disappointed with how this place has plummeted into a cheap tacky canteen.

Second time visiting. First time I spent 10 minutes in here due to an error with my app. Admittedly this is a Barclays error however at times the staff have made me feel very uncomfortable. Food is dry and bland. Don’t waste your money. I’ve cancelled my membership. Id rather spend my time less stressed with a more friendly atmosphere. I also seen a full entry on a computer about my complaint before I even made it! You get the feeling you’re being talked about when you state you’re not happy with the service. Which is NOT how to handle a complaint or make your customers feel welcome. The issue here isn’t the app. It’s their service. Thanks but no thanks.

If you have a Priority Pass and the Airport is busy - forget trying to get in. There were empty seats in the Lounge but priority was being given to people who had booked this lounge direct and Priority Pass people were being turned away. The staff were also letting people stay in the Lounge beyond the two hours because their flights were delayed. Not impressed with either the attitude of the staff here - or the airport! So even though we have already paid an annual fee to get in to these lounges, we ended up paying an exorbitant 33 Pounds for a 2 chicken burgers

Food choice was stale sandwiches, overcooked chicken and some sad looking salad. Dessert was no better with something that claimed to be shortbread (my tastebuds tell me otherwise) No still water (its 28 degrees) and the wifi didn't work. Worth £30 each? Hell no. A real shame the facilities didn't match the service of the lady on the reception desk and the lady who showed us to the table. Won't be back!
