went to fair maid with the family to celebrate our ruby wedding anniversary we all had excellent service and food all cooked just how we all like it will certainly go back there to eat

Went yesterday with my partner and boys. The boys enjoyed it and so did me and my partner the service was brilliant give them a 5* and the food was beautiful no complaint from my end the service was fast aswel 5 star from me would recommend people to go try the mammoth burger was lush

Went to the Fair Maid on New Year’s Day for our tea, I had the XL mixed grill £11.99, wow! It was fantastic! The food was so tasty. Well cooked & well presented ! Service was excellent! Staff were very helpful ! I would recommend Fair Maid for excellent food ! Will see you again soon! Happy new year to you all. ��

Went for our monthly family meal out, we all opted for the signature double-dipped rib eye steak, was beautiful! Bar staff as friendly as always, busy family atmosphere, loved it!

We had a lovely meal as always and the service is first class

We had a family reunion today at the Fair Maid and I must say the staff made us very welcome. The food was first class and real value for money, the staff were all so friendly and they provided excellent service throughout our stay, and we were in there from 11am until around 5pm, bet they thought we were settled for the night. I forget to note the names of the staff member who looked after us but the young blonde lady & the young man who took our family photo really looked after us. We will definitely call again. Thank you.

The staff at the fairmaid in Cottingham are very friendly and courteous,and the food is excellent,fairly priced, with generous sized portions,and you can also watch the sport on the numerous televisions,if you are into that sort of thing.

A brilliant atmosphere and staff. I was there as part of a band performing there and nothing was too much trouble for them. Child friendly until 9pm. Food and service excellent, hey, and the band were awesome too �

Went for a family birthday - large group - food came together, was lovely and all our plates were empty. Staff very helpful - especially with our rather large cake! No complaints at all and very reasonably priced.

The food was good, the service from STAFF could have been better, BUT the worse thing was the horrendous back ground music !!!!! Went for lunch and came out with a head ache!!!! Awful horrendous music think about the time of day and have something more relaxing!!!!!!

Went there on haloween to avoid the kids rattling my front door every 5 min but it turned out to be a big mistake. The place was full of kids running around the place fighting and screaming with very little or no parental supervision. The food was poor certainly not as I remembere it to be like. I ordered a mixed grill, the chips n sausage were good but the meat was terrible. The chicken was bland the gammon n steak were full of fat which made it very difficult to cut never mind chew. Yes maybe I should have complained at the time but I don't think I could stand the wait for a fresh meal to be prepared. I just ate what I could and left after 1 drink.

waited nearly an hour for food to be served over cooked dry chicken skewers - don't mind waiting for food if the end result is cooked well and is tasty but a big thumbs down from me 👎

Yeah so if you're Vegan avoid this place. Even though they have a separate menu they don't have the knowledge of veganism. After finally being acknowledged by bar staff we were given our food. Items forgotten, actual butter given.. my partner is actually also lactose intolerant too so this could have been bad on many levels. Regardless, don't trust the kitchens.

Walked out after 20 minutes of being stood at the bar, being ignored by bar staff several times. Whilst stood waiting Witnessed bar- maid being rude to other customers about their drinks orders. Appalling service. Glad we walked out and spent our money else where.

Need bar staff been in tonight one on The bar and stood for 10 mins and still never got a drink just got ignored like i was not there

I've got to be honest the food was Rank.

My wife and I ordered the ultimate sharer which was all deep fried, over cooked, dry and rock hard.

We had to leave most of it and my wife had stomach ache for the rest of the day.

We was sat outside at table 106 yesterday, I'm sure your chef wouldn't of eaten the food they served us !!
