We’ve been twice this week and both times we had a delicious meal the first time it was quiet the second time it was extrubusy but both times we were served straight away at the bar also at the carvery had to wait a few minutes when it was busy but you expect that.

The gentleman carving the meat was fabulous he was so patient even though it was busy and very generous with the meat. I would definitely recommend the Cherry Tree

Visited here tonight for the fist time in a while. For a Wednesday night there was a fair few in dining and drinking. We'd reserved a table in the family area as there were 9 of us, the kids loved the play area, kept them busy. Bit of a queue at the bar but we got served quickly. All three courses came out in good time, the food was lovely and great value for money, especially the desserts, the kids had sundaes whilst the adults opted for cakeaway - yummy! Service was good and food was lovely. Well worth a visit and will be going back soon. Good job team

User

This place is fantastic. Each time I’ve visited, the food, staff and service has been great. The best bit, the children only being allowed in the children’s section round the side - being able to enjoy a meal out and not having to listen to screaming children! Fantastic! Great value for money to, always lovely food and the cakes are to die for!!

User

I had a lovely meal on Wednesday lunch admittedly longish wait, however it was worth it. I am gluten free so no Yorkshire puddings for me, but I was given a pigs in blanket instead. Loved the cheese and onion mash and mint gravy. The only slightly disappointing thing was no gluten free pudding

User

Dined here several times ..quiet and busy ..always had good service ...the carvery is always lovely ..we took my friend for a birthday treat yesterday and we both had carvery ..the beef was absolutely beautiful ..lean and very tender ...all in all great meal and will be back ...

User

Been to this place quite a few times and the food never fails me.Its the best and I eat out a lot. Such a large selection for your plate and the sweets are to die for . I will be back soon for another yummy meal.

User

Very good food , the carvery was immense ... only bad point was kept getting a flat pint so had to ask for a glass change ... will defo revisit if I am in the area

Must admit to being disappointed with the Christmas carvery, with it being our family get together on Christmas day, at £50 per person I was left wondering what was so special as opposed to just the everyday carvery at £8 any other day of the week.

On the day we had a small starter which was pleasant enough, the carvery was served on medium plates with a huge Yorkshire pudding taking up the most the plate, leaving virtually no room for anything else.

Cherry Tree is well known for its portion sizes especially the deserts, so what happened with Christmas pudding? 2 fingers in size with thin horrible cream or the sherry trifle, except there was no sherry and sugar creme topping.

More could/ should have been done, for the price it would have been a nice gesture to offer a drink.

The staff were rushed off their feet, but did a great job with smiles a plenty.

Much better on an normal weekday.

Very poor on gluten free options for breakfast - no bread and unsure whether hash browns were gluten free. Disappointed.

Me, My 4yr old and 7yr old stayed at a nearby hotel on 27th Dec. We opted for breakfast at Cherry Tree Farm the next morning; we shouldn't have bothered. There were approx 10 tables of customers, many already eating. After ordering our food we waited over 45 minutes for it to come out! I dread to think what it would have been like if it was actually busy. The sausages were absolutely solid at one end, how do you overcook ONE end of 3 sausages?? The eggs were hard underneath. Thanks to the ridiculous wait for the food, by the time we ate the edible parts of the breakfast, we'd lost 2hrs travelling time. Would not recommend this place for ANY food.

User

Me and my partner Lorraine use to go there all the time at least once a week but stopped going as much as we started to see a decline in the quality of food and service. We hadn't bin for sometime and the other day decided to go and see if has got any better. To our surprise (NOT). It has not got better it got wors. And there isn't as many people in there as they use to be. That in it's self should be telling the people running the place that something wrong and so changers need to be made . And know doubt this review want even get read by any one that works there. As they have never even ready emails my partner has said telling them about the stands of the place .

User

i went for a meal last wednesday only one choice of meat for the carvery (wish i was told this when i paid) a lot of the veg looked like it had been standing a while .When i came to the leaks i saw 3 flies sat in there ,i told one of the staff who said she would replace it.she walked up to the leaks (bummped into another member of staff ,had a giggle )gave them a quick stir and walked off !!!!!

disgusting dont think i could eat there again

User

Worst meal ever just now. 1st of all charged incorrectly for meals! The carvery...meat was nice, hard leeks and broccoli, roast potatoes lacking a roasting, no cheese sauce on the ‘cauliflower cheese’ or the ‘cheesy leeks’ gravy was watery. Managed to eat about a third of the meal. No one approached to ask how the meal was, when they collected the plates I politely told them how bad the meal was and was not offered an apology or anything. Used to be a lovely carvery...

User

What's happened to this place, always been lovely went yesterday. Old meat, everything was cold, no peas had to ask for mash potatoe, there was a hair in the carrots I told the man behind the carvery and he told us he would get it out in a minute then walked off, gravy was like water and all sauce pots were empty. Very disappointed. No apology given when I told the lad cleaning tables.

User

Went to try for Sunday dinner today and was turned away after being told it was booking only when it’s never been that in the past however we ended up going to the ragley boat stop and had a much nicer meal for a cheaper price

User

We have been to the Cherry Tree many times & it's always been quite nice...On Saturday the 7th July we went with friends for breakfast. There was no eggs, no sausage, no white bread. How can they charge for a full English breakfast when half of it is missing !... My husband complained & it came across that the manager was not bothered at all... They should of said when we paid it that they didn't have these things available !!

User

We dined here last night and what a poor performance it was, we could see they were extremely busy and i completly understand that things may take longer then usual, however we waited 10 minutes to be served for a drink which was fine not a problem their, i then went to order our food, wow the worst experience of my life, it took us 30 minutes whilest waiting at the bar to order our food for then someone to be served who had pushed in the queue, which i made clear to the member of staff whos reply was i didnt see that !, we nearly left this restaurant 30 mins to take our food order was crazy, understaffed and not enough trainning in place, with some members of staff being poorly trained !, we then had to wait another 45 minutes for our food to arrive !! A complete shambles from start to finish and certainly will not visit in the bear future !! Poor service and a clear lack of trainning put together with a very busy enviroment equals last nights disaster !!

User

Usually love this place but tonight we had the most awful meal. Three people dined and no one enjoyed their meal. The turkey was full of veins oozing what appeared to be blood, the chef assured me and another person it was cooked but it didn't look like it at all. I ended up with no meat on my plate at all just veg. My husband had the beef and he said it was awful too. My son had a burger and even that wasn't up to its usual standard. Really disappointed. Won't be coming again.
