Visited the day after opening, had some cooked prawns, 2 amazing scallops with roe and a decent bag of cockles and I’m very pleased to say they were all fantastic. Everything else looked great also I can’t wait to see what further delights I can discover in this much needed and appreciated fish monger in Borrowash. Keep up the great work !

Incredible place with excellent staff and great fresh food, although the menu is somewhat limited what they do serve they do so well.

Had my first visit today brought a pot of mixed seafood and a dressed lobster. Had my pot for lunch it was 100% gorgeous can't wait for my lobster for tea. Will definitely making more visits.

Had fresh Hake. Went in to buy 2 pieces and ended up buying half the fish. Not a bone in it, very tasty and as it was fresh have frozen the rest for another treat.

Went last night with husband and son for my birthday. Son is not adventurous so he had the smoked salmon/smoked mackerel/ seafood cocktail platter with added jacket potato. Very accommodating! We had the ultimate platter with added dressed crab. Very friendly, great food. Just a couple of issues though. No instruments to use with the lobster and so I have a cut hand from trying to crack it. Had to ask for extra serviettes and a finger bowl. That appeared with cold water and no lemon in it. Small thing but it makes the difference between good service and great service. Another issue was being charged £5.25 for bread a butter. Two slices of (nice) granary, pre-sliced bread with foil wrapped butter per person at £1.75 a pop after we spent approx £80 seems a little over the top. Would recommend and will revisit in spite of the issues. Find it off Parliament Street down the alley at the side of Foxys bar, opposite Stage Door pub or from the square past Yates' going towards Derby Road. They are looking to relocate though so check before you just turn up!
