We had a lovely afternoon for our sons birthday. The food was really nice and the service even better they make the experience really special I would definitely recommend and I’m sure we will be going back for another meal and even a stay over night.
We came for out first wedding anniversary and I have to say it was absolutely faultless. The Autumn tasting menu was superb, the service impeccable and just the whole dining experience was really excellent! This has just become my new favourite place !!! Will definately be back !X

The menus change across the year and they have a first rate wine list. That combined with friendly, yet impeccably professional service make Fischer’s a truly memorable dining experience!
This 5 star hotel and restaurant is such a lovely place we could not fault it,
which for me is amazing.
It’s so nice to get looked after in the correct manner, but without being stuffy.
The food is excellent and the surroundings are so comfortable, best bed I’ve ever slept in and the shower was very powerful and easy to use. I didn’t want to come home. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Will definitely return. X

My husband brought me here as a surprise for our first wedding anniversary. It is exquisite!
the service and staff are amazing and made us feel very relaxed as soon as we sat down.
The food itself was delicious and well co-ordinated. The flavours in each dish were perfect and beautifully presented.
We took the wine flight as well and found the pairings to be of a high standard and the perfect accompaniment to the food!
Would definitely recommend!
It was a surprise birthday present from my daughter - The 7 course Autumn taster menu. I should have guessed she gave me a Michelin man air freshener for the car on the way there as a clue.
The food was an amazing experience with varied and interesting flavours. We waited in anticipation for each of the courses and wasn't disappointed.
The service was a impeccable and friendly. After the meal we walked around the grounds in lovely warm sunshine. A perfect end to a perfect afternoon.

Everything about Fischer Baslow is fantastic. A warm welcome, John and the team make sure everything we want or need is catered for and the food is sublime. Max and Susan are great hosts and we loved our stay in cruck barn cottage. Fischers is a must to visit whenever you're in the area.
Birthday treat with my partner, Sunday 22 July. We had the taster menu which was amazing- staff were very good and courteous. Recommend this beautiful hotel for a special occasion or as a treat !!
Beautiful experience ..Me and my partner had the Spring tasting menu with the wine flight. The food was delightful. The wines were very well thought out. The service was outstanding. We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff. Overall a stunning experience and will definitely be returning for a second visit in the future. Very impressed with the entire experience !
Another wonderful meal at Fischers of Barlow Hall. It was worth battling with the snow to get there from Chesterfield. I thought we'd have to cancel the booking.
The staff are always welcoming and the settling in the old house is splendid.
Our party of four had the main winter menu. Our starters included salt baked celeriac, tandoori guinea fowl, and tempura crab.
Our mains were pan fried halibut, roast duck, sirloin steak, and venison. Sorry, my description doesn't do justice to the complexity or flavours of the menu choices.
We were there to celebrate a guest's birthday, and the staff picked up on this and presented him with complimentary chocolates and an iced birthday message. Apologies for rushing off due to the weather, we would have loved to stay longer and enjoy coffee by the lounge log fire.
Amazing wedding venue, great rooms. Fantastic food, wine and service. A totally unforgettable day. Thank you!

A surprise wedding anniversary trip from my husband. We had an upgrade to one of the garden rooms, which was beautiful. A sublime evening meal where nothing was too much trouble. Followed by the most gorgeous breakfast. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
