🇹🇭 Planning a winter escape? We'd highly recommend taking a look at the colourful Bangkok to Phuket route. Trace the Gulf of Thailand, cycling in small groups on quiet backroads through two national parks, with stops at deserted beaches and tiny villages that few tourists get to see - https://goo.gl/vY2WZ9

Looking for a tour that's perfect for late-summer? The Trieste to Pula route is a customer favourite, with cycling through three countries on the Istrian peninsula, staying in hotels. Start in Italy and trace the shore down through Slovenia's short coastline to Croatia’s historic towns - https://goo.gl/32DZyv

🇮🇹 In May, Sarah took a girls’ cycling trip with four friends. With varying commitments, they wanted a short break to an easy to get to destination, leisurely rides, great scenery, good weather (hopefully!) and importantly, wonderful cuisine. The four-night Venetian Delights tour fitted the bill perfectly! Read Sarah's trip report here - https://goo.gl/vwf1NH

🇪🇸 Here's what our customer David had to say about his time on the Camino de Santiago cycle tour in October last year. People have travelled this route since medieval times to visit the burial site of St James, one of the Twelve Apostles. We find that riding can be more enjoyable in September/October when fewer people are on the route - https://www.freedomtreks.co.uk/…/camino -de-santiago-cycle-t…

💍 We've had plenty of Freedom Treks honeymoons down the years, but in June we also had a proposal on one of our trips! The happy couple is none other than our sales consultant Jess and her partner Sophie, who said yes during their time on the Cycling in Paradise tour ❤️ We'd like to wish them both a big congratulations! Read about this happy moment in Jess' trip report -

🚴 We're not in the office today due to the UK bank holiday. Instead, you can probably find us on our bikes, out and about around Sussex seeing sights like the photogenic West Pier in Brighton! If you have any questions for us, we'll be back at 9am tomorrow morning.

🇨🇭 Happy Swiss national day! This annual celebration honours a historic alliance concluded in 1291 by the three cantons of Uri, Schwyz and Unterwalden, paving the way for the formation of the modern Switzerland that we know and love today! The day is marked with lots of festivities, including a special celebration at the Rhine Falls, which are illuminated with spectacular lights and a magnificent fireworks display that lights up the sky!

Here at Freedom Treks, we are very passionate about cycling tours. We believe that there is no better way to see a destination than from the comfort of your saddle!
But what makes a cycling holiday so special? We think that it's seeing iconic destinations and scenery, discovering new cultures and history, tasting delicious food & wine and so much more...

We’ve just done the Cherry Blossoms & Hot Springs tour in Japan and it was breathtaking. Every day included spectacular scenery, amazing meals and glorious hot springs, and our route took in deserted white sandy beaches, bamboo forests, rivers, paddy fields, and of course lots and lots of beautiful cherry blossoms. The three nights in the traditional ryokans with tatami flooring, low furniture and paper screens were really special, and changing from cycling clothes to the yukata provided (like a kimono) and then heading to the onsen (hot spring) really added another dimension to the trip. Having a hot soak after a day in the saddle was just wonderful! The meals with the group, where we sat cross legged on the floor dressed in our yukatas, were great fun as together we tried new foods, attempted to master chopsticks and laughed – a lot! The advice and support from Freedom Treks was first class – many thanks especially to Andy.

User

We would highly recommend the cycling tour from Dubrovnik on the Harmony boat. The trip with excellent with amazing tour guides, fantastic crew and cycling across some beautiful Croatian islands. We particularly enjoyed dropping anchor and swimming in the crystal blue waters and having fun on the wake boards. Perfect for singles, couples and families.

User

We had a brilliant time cycling along the Mosel. The scenery and stops were fabulous. The crew on the MS Patria were very attentive. We arrived late for joining but were served dinner at 10pm which we had not been expecting but were very grateful for. Cabins are small but given the type of trip it's not important as mostly you are not on board. The food was excellent and great value for money for the whole trip.

User

We are just back from the Tulips tour on Magnifique III. This was it's maiden voyage so we were fortunate to have everything brand new. The staff were really helpful and attentive, the food was exceptional. The weather could have been better, the late spring meant the tulips were not yet in full bloom but overall a great holiday

User

The MS Carissima was our floating hotel for the past week as our party of 8 cycled the beautiful Blue Danube whilst enjoying all the comforts provided on board. The holiday met our expectations and more as we weren’t sure what to expect. The cycling paths are mostly flat and the lovely autumnal weather provided us with some spectacular coloured foliage as we cycled along. We made many stops to enjoy coffee and refreshments but mostly to admire the scenery which left nothing to desire. A great stress free trip to enjoy with energetic friends😄

User

Just had a fabulous holiday sailing and cycling around the Croatian coast. The accomodation, food, itinerary, everything was fantastic, and I will be booking with them again!

User

Just completed the Netherlands' trip IJssel lake family special with my 3 kids (6, 9 and 12 years). Was excellent, and very managible without my husband, who didn't fancy the cramped boat aspect of the holiday, so chose to enjoy the peace at home instead! For me, though it was a real treat to have everything organised and fully catered, etc. The distances of about 30km per day was just right - enough of a challenge, but not too much. And the lake/River swimming opportunities, brilliant! We visited the dolphinarium on our day off, which was magical. I think we have found the perfect active holiday, and want to do more. I'm also keen to do one with my husband without the kids (if we can get grandparents to have them) soon....

User

Just back from Lanzarote we had an amazing time. Absolutely loved it.

User

I've just returned from a wonderful boat/bike tour in South Dalmatia, Croatia. I cannot praise this tour highly enough. It was extremely efficiently organised and everything went to plan and at the correct time. The cycle routes were beautiful: the mountain climbs on the islands were tough at times, but more than compensated for by the incredible views at the top and delightful descents. The boat was comfortable, the meals excellent and the guides friendly and very funny. Added extras I didn't even know about included three guided tours of world heritage sites, sea swimming off the boat and a Croatian dinner. The other tour members were lovely and we had such fun together. I'll definitely be booking a similar tour again - I believe there are similar tours in other parts of Croatia, such as the Dubrovnik area and also further north.

User

Have just finished The National Parks of Dalmatia tour. It was the best holiday ever.

the boat is great, the tour guides were awesome, and the food was fantastic. We had a great group of fellow travellers and enjoyed every minute of the trip.

Great trip From Regensburg to Passau in Germany, through lovely countryside and interesting towns. Super hotels, good bikes and very well organised and supported by Freedom Treks and the local company. Overall very satisfied, with only a couple of minor niggles. The hotel in Regensburg was beautiful (nice town too) and the market town of Staubing was wonderful. The Monastery at Metten is also stunning, and the Bavarian people are very friendly. An easy route, I would recommend for less experienced cyclists (like me), you must be able to follow a map though, or have GPS handy.

Great family barge and bike holiday in Holland. Thank you it was amazing

User

Excellent holiday in 'PARIS AND BEYOND' Fantastic Dutch barge Clair de Lune and staff. Lovely rides send bikes were great. 150 miles over the 7 day holiday other time off to see Paris too!

User

Did the Family Lake Constance Tour in June...came all the way from Hawai’i! Had an amazing time with my 2 sons, aged 9 and 13. They handled the distances with no problem and the bikes were top notch...I was sad to say goodbye to mine at the end! The scenery was fantastic and varied...loved cycling through vineyards, wetlands and alongside the lake on flat and mostly paved cycle paths. Luckily the weather was great! But keep in mind the hotels don’t have air conditioning so it was a little warm at night. We enjoyed filling up on the hotel breakfasts each morning and would start our cycling around 8 a.m, when the air was still a little crisp. Most days we got to our hotel around 2 p.m so there is time to explore the towns after you check in. Our bags were always waiting for us at the next hotel which was awesome. Some of my favorite memories include cycling through beautiful villages and smelling roses along the way, stopping to buy strawberries and cherries from roadside stands (the best I have ever eaten), and the feeling of achievement at having cycled almost 200 km! Am looking at the website to see which tour next, so many on the wishlist!

User

we have just completed the Sound of Music 10 Lakes tour in Austria. Amazing spot. Freedom is a great company to work with -always prompt responses to questions. We did have some difficulty with directions but we always got there in the end! Next time we will consider the option of electric bikes.

User

This is a top-notch organization. Our trip from Bolzano to Verona (Italy) was gorgeous, and mostly (more than 90%) on bike paths and roads that had few to no cars (with an occasional farm tractor). The bikes themselves were excellent, and the various documentation -- map, step-by-step directions, and mini tourbook -- was well thought-out and detailed. On our self-guided tour, we hit some trouble with some of the directions, but with so many cyclists out and about, we could always get assistance.

User

Our route along the Mosel was excellent and I would definitely recommend it for anyone who enjoys leisure biking. The only negative, preventing an excellent rating, was one hotel room which was only accessible with difficulty.
