Freeman'S Endowed Academy Description
Freeman's Endowed CE Junior is a two form entry school of some 240 pupils. Pleasantly situated opposite Bassett's Park in Wellingborough the school is housed in an attractive Victorian building with a sympathetically designed extension which dates from 1996.
The school was originally in a building in Oxford Street, long since demolished.
Most of our children come from our nearby feeder school, St Barnabas, from many and varied backgrounds and some children are drawn from elsewhere in the town.
The school has a strong Christian ethos and links with the parish church of St Barnabas.
Pupils enjoy a wide and challenging curriculum with many enrichment opportunities including residential experiences, visits from drama and re-enactment groups, peripatetic music teachers and experts drawn from the wider community. The school runs a popular breakfast club and there are many other extra - curricular activities, most of which are free as they are run by members of the teaching and support staff.
For more details about our school please visit our website http://www. freemansendowed.org.
Visitors are always welcome. If you wish to visit the school please follow the link to the contact page and contact the school administrator to make an appointment.
You will be very welcome!

Dear Parents The gates on Westfield road will now be open at the end of the school day for you to access the playground. We will continue to have them closed in the mornings as it allows for the staff to better safeguard the children once they have entered the playground.
IMPORTANT: “We are aware that some nasty challenges (Momo challenge) are hacking into children's programmes. Challenges appear midway through Kids YouTube, Fortnight, Peppa pig to avoid detection by adults.
“Please be vigilant with your child using IT, images are very disturbing.”
Hope everyone is enjoying the half term especially the weather. Just to remind you all the school is open to children again on TUESDAY 26th. Enjoy your last day tomorrow and we look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday.
Please can you ensure that you are using this facebook page to get messages in regards to school. This is our official facebook page. thanks
Website update: The website is currently underway and we are adding the final touches to ensure we are compliant with government standards before going live. The address will be the same as before and over the next few months we will be continuously adding new parts like our class pages, news and I am hoping to start up a pupil blog section too. Thank you for your patience.
We are having our website redesigned at the moment. This will ensure that it is easier to access for all. Please bear with us while the site is under construction. Thank you
Our children filled the value gem jar pots on Friday and so after their hard work deserve a treat. It has been requested that we have a pyjama day so on Friday 7th December the children will be able to come into school in their PJs. Slippers can worn inside of school if they wish but shoes will be needed for break times. Well Done everyone
We have been extremely lucky to have a book published about the schools history. Hannah Mawer who used to work at Freeman’s has spent the last 8 years collating all of the information in the book including some very interesting photos of staff. If you wish to purchase a copy, they are £30 and are available from the school office. All proceeds go to the school.
Don't forget it is wear blue to school day tomorrow. Just to end off our week of raising awareness of bullying and cyber bullying. Looking forward to seeing a sea of various shades of blue in worship .
Don't forget Friday is wear blue, this can be any combination of blue including non school uniform. It is all about raising awareness of the charity Anti Bullying Alliance and the importance of talking to others and as the charity say....CHOOSE RESPECT.
The start of Anti Bullying week.... looking forward to seeing all the odd socks today
Next week is Anti Bullying week and we will be raising awareness of this and following the campaign this year 'CHOOSE RESPECT'. On Monday we would like the children to wear odd socks, to show we are all unique and different in our special ways. Over the week the children will be looking at what choose respect means and the impact of cyber bullying. On the Friday we will end the week showing our support of this event by wearing all blue. Thank you for your support.
We are having a technical issue at the moment with sending out emails and text messages. Please can you share any messages that come up on facebook with each other in order the spread the word until we are up and running again. Thank you
WOW...what fantastic homework from all our children. Our entrance is now looking like a poppy field.
We have had a great first week back and the children are enjoying the new lunch time zones. Just a reminder that tomorrow is mufti day, this is the reward for the children filling the value gem jars at the end of last term.
Hope you are all having a great break. Pepsi and Tango are having a good holiday too at Ms Wallis-O'Dell's. Her son Josh has been giving them cuddles for you and taking good care of them.
School dinners - Please remember that school dinners need to be paid for in advance via the Dolce website.
Please can you ensure that the office has an up to date contact number for you. If you are unsure then please check with Mrs McIvor.
