We welcomed back Ollie Hoult this week after he completed his Uni exams. Here's what he had to say......
“After spending a few of my Uni holidays working at Fresh, I was really excited to be invited back to work with the company again this summer!
This time round I’m going to be looking after a new experimental marketing campaign, prepping vehicles to take product samples around the country, and working with the transport team to ensure that it all goes smoothly.

It’s a ‘fresh’ feeling having a job you enjoy…
On the 8th April, I started working as a Transport Planner for Fresh Logistics, something that I had never done before and after only a few weeks I wish I had come across this industry years ago!
... It has been a full month of learning, meeting new people and asking a lot of questions.
Luckily, the team here have been more than accommodating in guiding me through my new role. It is refreshing to feel like part of the team so early on, and for me, that makes all the difference in how easy I was able to settle in to new surroundings.
Despite the fact that there are three different working environments to this company: the office team, the drivers and then the maintenance team, I feel like I have had the chance to build a working relationship with everyone, which makes the job just that bit easier!
For me, it is the variety of the job that keeps the role interesting as you never know what you are about to walk into… I am very happy here and extremely glad I got the opportunity to work here.

Compliance Manager by day, penalty saving hero by night! A massive well done to Lee Dearden and his team mates on winning the Midlands Region Cup Final on Monday night.

A big thanks to Ollie Hoult for his help during his Uni break for assisting with our Temperature Mapping, report writing and new Experiential Marketing projects. Ollie was working hard with both Oli Saffell and Lee Dearden in ensuring we are fully up to date for the next round of upcoming audits. It's now dissertation time for Ollie, just another 10,000 words to write so we wish him the best of luck!

Fresh Logistics would like to welcome Simon Howes as DGSA to the company. Fresh have seen an uplift in enquiries for temperature controlled ADR movements and, with Simon’s knowledge and experience, it was agreed that Simon would be a valuable asset to the business. Simon will undertake in-house ADR training with the business and provide assistance for any future hazardous goods enquiries. With many of the ‘out of the ordinary’ enquiries Fresh have provided solutions for, Sim...on has been called upon in the past, providing driving assistance for specialist ADR loads. Mr Howes has a Class III licence and can be called upon for driving temperature controlled 7.5t loads that require a little more ADR attention. Simon background is a fully trained and experienced DGSA who has worked in chemical distribution for 25 years and has first-hand experience of working with hazardous substances and implementing dangerous goods regulations; and gained DfT approval as a dangerous goods instructor back in 2009.
