FOTWMRAS is the premier place in Frisby-On-The-Wreake for model railway enthusiasts to meet and discuss their passion.

Frisby-On-The-Wreake Model Railway Appreciation Society has gone from strength to strength in its 110-year history. Members come from all over the Melton Mowbray area and much further afield.

Some amazing layouts have been exhibited over the years, including scale representations of the old Guisborough station and surrounds in the 1960s, imagining how it would have looked had Dr Beeching’s axe not fallen.

And there have been many others.

Our members' interests spread across the popular scales and gauges of railway modeling and stretch from the banal to the bizarre. Ranging from talks about the impact of plastic tenders on steam model accuracy, to enchanting tales from a man who built a 1: 3400 model of the entire Clenchwarton to Bleet line in his Ford Sedan - our weekly meetings have something to offer to young and old alike!

Since 2007 we number a robust 23 with members from as far afield as Leicester. Why not pop down to one of our meetings in the Bell Inn and see what all the hubbub's about?!
