This is a horse with what looks like canker - vet was unsure if it was thrush or canker.
The vet sedated the horse and never blocked the area so I could get in there safely and cut as much out as possible.
With good after care from the owner keeping the foot extremely clean and dry using a home made solution from the vets. We are hopeful with another visit from myself in 1 weeks time and then the vet and myself 3 weeks later we reckon it's been caught early and the horse should recover fully.

This horse has negative rotation in both of his hind pedal bones. I trimmed down the toe to the absolute limit and I put on lateral heel extension open heeled shoes with equi-pak. We Will have follow up X-rays in around 6 months time.

Proud to be the sponsor of such a fantastic team. Each time they go out they just get better and better they are climbing up the levels in British eventing! Massive congratulations to Lyndsay and Gordon finishing 11th today at Barbury 😃

This event horse had become lame on hard ground. She was 1 week over due when the X-rays were taken. I made some 7/8 x 3/8 concave for her and I applied pads that provide frog pressure when the foot is loaded under the pad I used total hoof protection material.

This is my friends horse Skye that I don't shoe.. Julie and her farrier kindly let me borrow him and have a go at making and fitting some open heeled medial spiral lift shoes. He has a severe lateral rotation and lands very heavy on the lateral side and loads on the medial side. I took a still of the slow motion video that I took and although he's still not landing flat, it is quite improved 😄

This horse had a fracture in his pedal bone and because of the trauma his pedal bone remoulded. I've simulated the shoe to accommodate the change in the pedal bone I made and fitted an open heeled rocker toe and for the other foot I put a heart bar shoe on with a rolled toe to try and relieve the compression from the heels and share the weight contribution.
