Our team of walkers completed the Leicestershire 3 Peaks Challenge on Sunday 28th April. Well done to everyone who took part and thank you to those who have donated to the Healing Little Hearts charity so far.

On 28th April 2019 some of the team from Glenfield Dental will be joining Glenfield Surgery and Glenfield U3A to walk the 3 Peaks Challenge; a 16 mile walk around Bradgate Park, Beacon Hill and Bardon Hill, Leicestershire.
To make a donation in support of Healing Little Hearts you can go to the Glenfield Surgery (GP, not dental) website and click on 'News'. You should see ‘Our 3 Peaks Challenge’ in the box. This will take you to a screen with a link to Total Giving where you ...can make your donation. If you wish to you can put a donation into the collecting box available at Glenfield GP Surgery, Station Road.

Healing Little Hearts (Registered charity no: 1130194) Founded in August 2007 by Dr Sanjiv Nichani, Healing Little Hearts primary aim was to perform FREE life saving heart operations on the poorest babies and children in India. All at Glenfield Dental would like to say huge congratulations to one of our senior nurses, Reshma, on her recent engagement to Nakul. Reshma was whisked away on holiday to Devon last week, where Nakul surprised her with a romantic proposal and a stunning engagement ring 💍. Wishing you both much happiness together 💗💗💗

One of our lovely hygienists, Carole Lip, retired from the practice last week. Carole was our longest serving hygienist, having been with us since 2005 and we were all sad to see her go. It will certainly be very strange not having her with us on a Monday. I’m sure all our patients who know Carole would like to join with us to wish her a very happy retirement and well deserved rest. Keep in touch, Carole! ❤️

Congratulations to our trainee dental nurse, Olivia, who passed her first exam yesterday! Well done, Olivia 😊 x

On Saturday 9th June some of our lovely team members got together and climbed Mount Snowdon. This was a fantastic personal achievement for them and, in addition to making it to the summit, they have also raised over £900 for The NSPCC, smashing the original target of £300 😎💪

It was World Oral Health Day on Tuesday.
WOHD spreads messages about good oral hygiene practices to adults and children alike and demonstrates the importance of optimal oral health in maintaining general health and well-being. The three-year campaign running from 2018-2020 is "Say Ahh" and this year's theme is "Think Mouth, Think Health".

Many congratulations to our hygienist, Abbi, and her husband, on the safe arrival of their baby girl who was born on 28th December 2017.
Mum and baby are both at home and doing well.💗💗💗

We'd like to extend a welcome to our new staff members, Helen and Kiera. Helen has joined our reception team and Kiera is part of the clinical team, working towards her dental nurse qualification. A very warm welcome to you both 😊

Today we had our annual resuscitation training. The whole team have had a refresher in Basic Life Support techniques and procedures and are now also trained to ILS (Immediate Life Support) level #cprtraining #immediatelifesupport #safeinourhands
