Are you making the most of Freeview? Freeview is the term that covers all free-to-air channels (BBC1, 2, ITV etc). You pay for them through your licence fee. In addition, there is Freeview Play, a catch-up service (you need an internet connection). Two new channels - CBS catchup and Horror Bites have been launched on Freeview Play. Check them out. You might find there is enough stuff available free of charge and you can ditch the subscription channels.

Another 4k trial from the BBC. Dynasties, BBC One’s upcoming series with Sir David Attenborough, will be shown in Ultra HD (UHD) and High Dynamic Range (HDR) on BBC iPlayer this month. Each episode will be available on-demand after the programme is shown on BBC One, starting with episode 1 Chimpanzee on Sunday 11th November. 24mb internet speed required

We've had a lot of calls about Teletext. It's still going (just) but if you've got a Smart TV you need to turn off the internet connection in the networking to be able to use it (certainly with Panasonic sets although I don't think LG still support it). If you have a Smart TV use the Apps instead - much better.

Sky are stopping broadcasting Sky Sports in Standard Definition. If you're not watching in HD you need to contact them to upgrade. If you are using a non-HD box then you'll need to get a new box from them
