This year Cromer carnival runs from 15th - 21st August with an action packed week starting with a car boot sale on the main carnival field. There is so much going on all week on the carnival field, beach, pier and around the town. Entertainment like aerobatic display teams, gymkhana, bands and falconry displays. You can join by entering the bonny baby, knobbly knees or glamorous gran competitions. The main carnival day is on Wednesday 19th with a carnival parade in the even...ing and what is usually a spectacular firework display. Yarik leaving Overstrand campsite this morning at 7am to cycle to our pub/campsite in the Lincolnshire wolds. Pleased to say he made it. Hope he's now enjoying a nice cold pint.

There is a 20% early booking discount available on all eurotents if booked by the end of February. A £50 deposit will secure your holiday. A pre pitched eurotent sleeping up to 4 people with the discount starts at only £24 per night, early July with a 5 or more night break.

Overstrand Campsite was treated to another breathtaking display from the Red Arrows earlier today! As they perform for the Cromer Carnival, absolutely amazing!

we had a weekend break in the big eddy tent at the three horse shoes site at goulceby lincs on the camping pub site....loved it, it saved me putting my tent up..good pub nice food and the staff were great...the eddy tent(euro tent).had everything you need ie,cooker, utensils ect ect....in the grounds it also has a garden grill where you can cook with big pans if you are in a group.good walks from site on the viking way...the camping field is fairly flat and looks well drained.no complaints from me all in all a nice little hidden gem in the lincolnshire wolds...defo will return.

great family atmosphere. fantastic sea view. great place to watch "sun set" and "sun rise". and most of all, very friendly bunch of people managing the camp site. will definitely come back.

We loved it here, so much so we're coming back in two weeks. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The views are stunning and only a 'short' sea front walk to Cromer.

We had a lovely time with friends at Overstrand. The weather was entertaining but most of the time gorgeous. You couldn't ask for more helpful and accommodating staff. Yes the facilities could be called basic but they were perfect for what we needed and clean. We were warned that the hot water might run out at peak times so adjusted our habits. The view of the sunset over Cromer Pier is beautiful and the walk to Cromer is lovely just check the tides as there is one groyne that would be hard to get over if the tide is in (speaking as a short person). If you need to take the dog on the bus it is 50p.

This campsite is perfect! Great location, relaxed and well run.

Loved the laid back atmosphere here. The games room was great for my little ones and the site was located right next to the park too.

Total escape from the usual rat race of work and technology, loving the old school games that we borrowed too!

The camp site at Overstrand is well run. Excellent for a family holiday, a short walk to the beach and not to far from Cromer.

The 3rd time I have been and it gets better each time. Staff are very friendly, the view is amazing and the location is perfect for exploring the coast. Normally stay the weekend but recently stayed for 10 nights. Had an amazing time. The kids played well with other children and adults very friendly too. Definitely booking again for at least another weekend in 2017.

Perfect! We stayed in a 4 Berth eurotent which was lovely!! The little things like washing up liquid, tea towel and dish cloths were a really nice touch. Good size table and chairs and having a lamp was fantastic.

The showers were really hot, which was a blessing! Lots of things for kids to do and even a full English in the morning if you wanted it, plus kids meals in the evening, a brilliant idea.

The best part were the views; set on a cliff top, a couple of minutes down to the beach with just a handful of people on it !! A really lovely cliff top walk to Cromer which takes about 45 mins! Just a 5 min walk to the local pub and beach cafe!

We will definitely be going back to this beautiful place next year!!

Overstrand is a wonderful place to camp. 4 year old twins had their first taste of camping and loved the opportunity to make new friends and to explore. The adjoining public playground is perfect for children of all ages and we had a whole section of the beach to ourselves, perfect for kite flying and beach cricket as well as digging and swimming. We stayed for 2 nights in a pre-erected tent which was well equipped and saved a lot of hassle. The washing up facilities were excellent and the toilets and showers were clean. We walked along the cliff path to Cromer each evening and thanks to the campsite staff's recommendation, enjoyed the luxury of a taxi back - £4.50 for the four of us! A really friendly site - we hope to return - thank you

Loved .loved, loved our two night stay here! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We had a little cliff top pitch with sea views. The games room/cafe was great for evening board games and hot chocolate!

Cromer was a 2 mile walk along the sandy beach. I would definitely recommend the surfing lessons, the shop is by the Pier (can't remember the name) we had a go, it was brilliant! We will deffo be back next summer- thanks for having us!

Just returned from a 3 night stay in a pre-assembled tent here and we had a wonderful time! Although facilities could be considered basic, toilets and showers were always clean and this gave the campsite a rustic feel, which we embraced! Staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Tents themselves were clean and had everything we could possibly need. Views are to die for. Would highly recommend and hope to return!

Just got home from a lovely week at Overstrand - we had a wonderful time. We hired a pre-pitched tent for 5 of us as well as a normal pitch for 2 of our teens. We have 4 sons aged 20, 18, 14 & 9 and one of the older boys brought his girlfriend. We have camped since all the kids were little and everyone agreed this was the best camping trip so far. Location is beyond 5 stars - Waking up to a seaview from our bed. The last few years I have woken up every morning with a bad back on our camping trips (air mattress) but at Overstrand with the sprung mattress in the pre-pitched tent I woke up happy listening to the waves instead. The people at the campsite were more than helpful even offering tips when we struggled to light our BBQ. The kids enjoyed going to the café/games room...never too old for sweets and table tennis. Showers and toilets were adequate and better than many sites we have been in. The site was busy but not overcrowded. Only 10 mins from Cromer and easy driving to Great Yarmouth. Had an amazing time at Overstrand campsite. Very friendly and helpful staff, sea just down the cliff and that's what you see first when you get up in the morning and open tent. Will definitely go back again.

Booked a two night stay middle of august and can definitely recommend this fabulous campsite.3 kids which the games room kept them entertained and waking up to the views of the sea was incredible, pre erected tent had everything we needed and managed to cook a full English on both mornings, staff was fabulous too.. definitely coming back next year for a week xx

We had a good time in Overstrand there was 6 of us, 4 had never camped before, we stayed in a Euro 6 man tent which was comfortable and clean. We would come back again!

Ths is a lovely place to enjoy the sea and local area. Staff are friendly, helpful and responsive. Views are beautiful. The camping space feels a little bit cramped and there are alot of dogs on site which mostly wasnt a problem, except one that seemed to bark most of the day. However it feels friendly and children can run abut freely with a park next to the camp and the beautiful sandy beaches down below. I enjoyed a relaxin time as my children could roam about fairly freely - lovely for them and for me.

The site is so friendly and safe, my 6 year old grandson loved every minute of it. The beach an easy walk as is apart, shop and pub. I will being next year
