What better way to spend an Easter Sunday teatime than with a few games of bingo. 👀 down.

Our Easter bonnet parade. It was so hard to choose a winner, they were all amazing. Well done to you all👍🏻🐣🐰🐇👍🏻

User

Happy Easter 🐣🐇 Wow what an amazing morning, we started off with our Easter egg hunt with the Easter bunny 🐰 then we had the egg and spoon races with children, then finished off with Mum and Dads race. Thank you to everyone who took part.

User

Visited the site for the first time this weekend. Well maintained, clean toilet and shower blocks, lots of parks/play areas and things for the kids to do. Very friendly staff! Would highly recommend!

Today we left Golden Valley Caravan Site after a short two night break. We are relatively new to Caravanning still, this will be the 5th new site we’ve used and about our 8th trip out since last May when we joined the wobblebox fraternity. I have to say it’s the best place we’ve visited and stayed. The kids had a great time as always. Golden Valley is an ideal hour journey from where we live in Grantham.

The new playpark that has been installed is incredible, the showers and toilets blocks impeccably clean and the site and staff very friendly. The pitches are generous and the walks brilliant. Even the dog wants to go back!

We shall be back for a nice little summer break later this year too, although we’ve not booked yet, and we’d strongly recommend other ‘vanners put this great place on your ‘to do list’

See you soon!

Me and my family took a short break at the caravan park. It was a great place to stay and the facilities are fantastic. Plenty of places to go to the loo, showers and toilet blocks were clean and well taken care of my only criticism is the locks on the showers and toilets could do with changing as my daughter locked herself in and had to be let out. Would definitely use this park again highly recommended

User

Love this place 5 miles down the road from home loads to do for the kids all staff are helpful and work so hard to keep it extremely clean and are so polite we can’t keep away very picturesque you could be anywhere 😍

User

Last minute booking due to issues on the site we originally booked. They were very helpful and really helped us out. The site was very busy but clean and tidy. Lots to do for children (we loved watching them have fun in the sun). Pitch was great and sheltered. Toilet block great showers and toilets spotless. Takeaway and licensed cafe what more could you ask for. Thank you for making our weekend enjoyable instead of a disaster.

User

Home today after a fantastic 3 night Easter Bank Holiday stay. Thank you so much to all staff who were so friendly and helpful and worked so hard all weekend to ensure we had a great time. We will be back in the summer! Keep up the great work!

User

Had a wonderful stay at Golden Valley over the bank holiday weekend. It was our first visit to this campsite and we will definitely be back again.

Despite it being really busy we found the site to be incredibly clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were just what we needed and the children's play areas kept our two entertained for hours.

User

Had a fabulous week at Golden Valley. It was our first tent adventure and it didn't disappoint. The staff work amazingly hard and are so helpful. The park provides just the right amount of entertainment, allowing you time to enjoy the park and local area too. We will definitely return!

Fist time campers with 2 boys (aged 6 and 7). They had a great and we certainly felt that the place was safe and well looked after.

There is plenty for the kids to do, and we only left the site a few times for shopping, etc.

Five stars from us!

User

First time we’ve been here, just a short break!! Have to say what a lovely lovely campsite it is. So much to do for the kids, very friendly staff and amazing new clean showers and toilets.. highly recommend

User

Fantastic, when for one night in our 38ft motorhome coach. Staff were amazing so friendly and helpful. We have booked to go back. We spent a great day out at Midland Railway Centre which was a short walk from the site and we got 50% off the ticket price cause we were staying at the campsite. Kids and dog all loved it too.

User

Brilliant camp site, we don’t live far away and visited this weekend after passing many times. Facilities are immaculate, and there’s so much for children to do and of all ages as we have a teen and younger children. The staff were all polite hard working and friendly, and the site and amenities are kept really clean, would highly recommend

User

Brilliant brilliant brilliant. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.

It’s our second visit and it’s majorly improved since our first visit.

Despite grotty Easter weather the site and staff have gone out of their way to make every minute fun and active for the family. It’s a really safe feeling and the kids have been able to have freedom and independence.

Thank you x x

User

Amazing first time experiencing camping, couldn’t have picked a better place to stay, we only saw the kids when they came back for food, they where constantly playing and having fun, activities where free and at a cost, but just a couple of £1 here and there, the outside disco was fantastic, quality 90’s tunes played, we are coming back again later in the year, highly recommend for experienced and new campers, especially with young children

User

Absolutely fabulous for people of all ages....well equipped parks, small fishing pond which is has plenty of fish to catch!, zip wire ... Segway .... nice quiet walks.....lovely friendly atmosphere and fantastic staff.

Toilet and shower blocks are kept clean .

The only negative point is that the portaloos are not serviced regularly enough but there are plenty of toilets in the block so this really did not affect our stay

User

A fantastic campsite. We stayed in the new camping pods which were fab & I would definitely recommend as it saves having to put a tent up.The toilets & shower facilities were really clean & the kids loved the play areas.A bonus is that it’s only twenty minutes away from our home.We will be back!

3rd year running we've been here and had another fab weekend. We were in a group of 4 tents and a caravan. We brought along some friends who we often camp with who haven't been here before and they loved it. The staff can't do enough to help and are friendly, always have been. On leaving the site they asked if we had any problems and if all was ok. The park is well run and has lots to do. The kids loved it and we felt safe for them to go a play together. We were pitched near the park and main entrance area. The toilets and showers are spotless. We are returning again this year we've booked for August bank holiday weekend.

Noisy, Busy and staff unfriendly.

We are a family of 3 camping and visiting this site for the first time, weather was dry and sunny. We paid £66 for 2 nights (Friday Saturday) with an electric hook up. The site is well equipped with a good variety of play parks for children. Note that bouncy castle and other facilities are payable extra. The shower toilet blocks are clean but depending where your pitch is can be a walk. There are the nearby port loo pods. The site seems to be more catered for caravans they are just everywhere. On arrival we reported to reception and were greeted well, we were asked if we wanted quieter or busier, we were asked to follow a buggy to the glade a little wooded area. The driver showed us where to pitch and said clearly we could park next to tent whilst unloading. Halfway through erecting tent another guy on a buggy with beard bellowed out “can’t park on’t grass” after realising he was addressing me I replied to say yes I know we are just unpacking he replied “can’t park on’t grass” in a totally unfriendly manner .... oh dear we wondered if this was how all customers are treated. I later read the leaflet that clearly says if instructed to do so and when dry you can park on grass during unpacking! Even with this I’m not one for confrontation.

The site is very busy and we were thankful to be in the little glade and would have hated being up on open field or by restaurant where tents seem to be scattered in no particular order and with no personal space, and would suffer a lot more noise.

On Saturday night there was a rather uncomfortable disturbance with a nearby Couple in a caravan arguing, using heavily aggressive swearing F and C words. Someone in a nearby tent confronted them and the whole thing escalated to threats to hit with a mallet and such like. This was at gone midnight and lasted for over an hour until the Police arrived after which things quietened down. All the nearby tents had young children and in my opinion this person should have been immediately removed from site.

Not having the best nights sleep... there was also the intermittent barking of dogs, lots of dogs, we believe there was nearby kennels for greyhounds.

We had forgotten to take out cash - so many places offer chip n pin with no min spend now so hardly ever carry cash. The restaurant has a £10 min spend for card. This is a bit greedy and old fashioned.

On the plus side, we did meet some lovely people with children of a similar age to ours and the kids had great fun. Would we stay again? No, not in this site.
