About Grace Eyre

We are a charity supporting people with learning disabilities to achieve their dreams and wishes. We work across Sussex and the South East.

Grace Eyre Description

Grace Eyre may be one of Brighton and Hove’s oldest charities but our team of highly experienced staff and carers has a thoroughly modern approach to providing innovative services for people with a learning disability.

We provide services to over 200 people across Sussex supporting each person to maximise their independence and achieve their dreams and wishes.

Grace Eyre is committed to ensuring service users are involved at all levels of the organisation and that their ideas and goals are a central part of all our service developments.

Through our three areas of Active Lives (Day Services) Shared Lives (Family Placement) and Choices (Community Support) the teams are able to put together really flexible packages of high quality person centred support.

As you may know, the European Union Elections are happening this Thursday!
A lot of people are not aware of their rights around accessibility when voting, so please find attached some guidance about voting rights for people with disabilities.
Most polling stations are open 7am - 10pm so people will have time to be supported with this.

The people who use our service tell us they want to lead healthy lives with creative minds and be part of their communities. The Pier is a short film with Grace Eyre's Film Making group who make documentary style films showing their interests and every day experiences in their favourite city - Brighton.

This was Our Voices' second Worthing Coffee Morning with 18 attendees where the group talked about wanting 'strong and supported relationships’. People said they want relationships and to do this they need good staff, good housing, support to do more activities out and about and support if they want to go out on dates.
The next Worthing Coffee Morning will be on 10th June | 11-1pm | St Paul’s Community Café, Worthing.

User

It's #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek this week (13-19 May 2019) - it's the UK’s national week to raise awareness of mental health and mental health problems and inspire action to promote the message of good mental health for all.
What is Mental Health? Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.
