Exciting times... here at The Nurseryman we are due to under go refurbishment at the start of September 😬 this does mean that we are looking to grow our team!
We are specifically looking for line chefs
They must have experience in a similar role in a branded kitchen, and have passion and pride in their food. Pay will be dependant in experience but in the regions of £8.20-£8.50 p/h

We called in mid afternoon while passing and were pleasantly surprised. Service at the table is so underrated. To be able to sit and be waited on is so much better. A relaxed atmosphere and good food & drink.

The meal was fantastic and the service was really good, definitely go again and would recommend my friends to go there !!!!!!!!

Pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, three diners ordering a real mixed bag of meals off the menu. I personally had the Black Angus fillet steak with peppercorn sauce and it was delicious. The staff were genuinely helpful and catered for our every need and when the bill came, we were very pleased in deed.

Highly recommended if you want quality food in a great atmosphere and without breaking the bank.

Only called in for a pint but looks a really nice pub with friendly staff. Will return for food

Met family for a meal. Food was great, service was attentive and would recommend to friends and family to come here. Added bonus for the children to be able to go and play on the play area.

Had a great meal the first time I visited, but this time, the portions were small, and weren't value for money! And it was a crime to remove "the ultimate burger" from the menu!! £42 for scampi, a burger and a kids meal is expensive for pub grub �

Went tonight for a meet up as 3 of us girls have birthday this month ...to start with our table was in the walk way that everyman and his dog used very busy ...FOOD was along time coming out and when it did it was cold ..had waited so long I didn't send it back (wish I had now ) just remind me next time not to go back to nursery man ..now I remember why we've not been for sometime �

We are regular visitors to the Nurseryman so I was disappointed that the evening was not up to the usual standard last night. I had pre-booked via the website and on arrival I was told we couldn’t order from the festive menu as I hadn’t pre-booked it, but there was no facility to do this online. Once seated with drinks we were told there would be a 30 minute wait on food as there were big parties in. It was in fact a much longer wait, 1 hour 10 mins in fact. I would have understood this has we been walk-ins as it is Christmas but I felt it wasn’t great as I had booked. There was no apology for the wait.The food was mediocre with a rubbery egg with the gammon and my friend’s chicken was cold. We usually have a lovely time but this has made us think we might consider finding a new regular restaurant.

Cold and grey. That's the description of the all day breakfast. Not much better on the 2nd attempt.

Sausages direct from the microwave looked insipid and uninviting. Bacon possibly not changed still cold.

Beans super hot but not in a ramekin the 2nd time round. Suggesting they'd been reheated.

Short of a decent selection of beers and everything but the meals looking presentable. Not an impressive night out.

Worst meal I’ve ever had, the chicken was not edible it was like chewing on plastic and was grey, the coleslaw also wasn’t edible as it came out hot and had bubbles in which looks like it was gone off �� so basically paid £10 for a few chips and salad! After waiting over 45 minutes for this I’d expect it to be cooked properly, not served reheated chicken. Already paid for child’s dessert so we are still waiting for that over an hour and a half later! Avoid this place at all costs the staff look very miserable as well �

Will not be coming here again. Dead rats in the play area where kids are!!!!

We went here a couple of years ago for my birthday but it was awful! Table wasn’t set ( even though we had booked ahead), meal orders were mixed up and had to send food back! Haven’t stepped back since....and still the reviews are bad!

Popped in with my mum for a spot of lunch ... unfortunately didn't get to try the food as the manager / waitress decided to scowl and wave me towards the menus (customer Service at its finest) we then proceeded to wait at the bar for someone to serve us (never happened) so decided to leave.... shame really.

Poor quality food for money.

Fish over cooked and small portion.

Vegetables was a after thought.

Here on vacation food was half raw. Spoke to the wait to they said they would resolve it they brought it to the back and reheated it. By the way it was fish when I spoke to the manager he was not helpful was a bit rude

Food turned up looking like it was cooked 2 days ago and we had to ask for the items to be added to the meal which were missing

Awkward young lady asked if we had ordered food or planned to as that particular seating area reserved for dining only (nothing i noticed to make that clear and had sat in same place previous for drinks only) not at all busy so no one was waiting. So no need to mention really. Only stayed for 1 enroute home ���

After eating here on Saturday I became poorly with an upset stomach. I'm still on bland food. I had the calamari for starter which was very over cooked. My main I didn't eat at all. The veg smelt like dirt, the game pie has 2 pieces of meat and a tiny carrot as the filling £11:99. I was offered a free pudding. Which I accepted as I was hungry from not touching my main. Cookie dough cheese cake. Was more cookie cheesecake not great so hardly ate that either. I was really disappointed as normally it's ok food here.

Absolutely disgusted in what I was served today!! Yes I refused to pay for this, this wasn’t questioned! Nobody would come and see if we had finished our lunch, had to go to the bar where yes we got apologised but this was the second chicken skewer I was given, it was like plastic looked uncooked, I wouldn’t of even brought this out to serve an animal!!
