Established for over 50 years, a friendly folk club meeting on Sunday nights with talented floor singers and regular outstanding guest nights. The Club meets at 8pm on Sunday evenings from September to July.

Sunday 16th February is a Spotlight Night. Another evening of our local folk club members and those from the wider acoustic music scene: Dave Start, Dave Wagstaff, Paul Lucas & Alan Young and Wolf Housman (not running order).
Doors 7.30pm, start time 8pm. Entry only £2. Come along and support local talent. All welcome!

Just a reminder that Sunday 9th of February is now a club night as Martyn Wyndham-Read has had to cancel due to ill health. To be rearranged.
Singers, musicians, poets, story tellers and listeners are all welcome. Entry only £1.50. Start time 8pm.

Coming up on Sunday 2nd February: "Field & Dyke" Greg Rusell & Danny Pedler
Danny Pedler and two-time BBC Radio2 Folk Award Winner Greg Russell bring you the Field & Dyke project; a project combining traditional music with the sounds of industry. Grown out of an oral history research project conducted by Danny, the music and songs incorporate samples of dialogue from Field & Dyke Interviewees as well as being based around, and incorporating, factory machine rhythms.

Coming up on January 26th: The Hut People with support from Campbell Taylor.
An Infectious Blend of Folk Music from Around the World we welcome return of Sam Pirt, accordionist and singer and Gary Hammond, percussionist, formally with "The Beautiful South".
This is high-octane feel - good music from a very likeable duo who have the ability to get the whole audience involved and loving it – before the end of the first tune!

Coming up on Sunday 8th December: Jackie Oates with support from Ian and Michelle (members £8, guests £10).
Jackie is a singer and fiddle player hailing from Staffordshire with a keyboard accompanist Mike Cosgrave. Her unique treatment of English ballads and songs, and pure, haunting singing style has established her at the forefront of the new English folk revival.

This Sunday, 24th November, at Grimsby Folk Club: The Phil Cockerham Trio with support from Sue and Abi.
Phil came to a Spotlight Night with one of the members of his trio. They wowed the audience with humour and good musicianship and vowed to return. So, here is the Trio, Phil, Dave & Dickie, with original material and familiar traditional songs delivered in a refreshingly different way.

Don't forget, coming up this Sunday, 17th November: Tommy Sands with support from Paul Bellamy and Lynn Haynes.
Tommy is a Co Down's singer, songwriter and social activist has achieved something akin to legendary status in his own lifetime.
His songs, like There were Roses, and Daughters and Sons, which have been recorded by Joan Baez, Kathy Matthea, Dolores Keane, Sean Keane, Frank Patterson, Dick Gaughan, The Dubliners and many others have been translated into many languag...es and are currently included in the English language syllabus in German secondary schools.

Coming up on Sunday 13th October: Pete Morton with support from Homity (Ian and Michelle).
The welcome return of Pete who is a folk singer-songwriter with a wealth of great songs and a remarkable singing voice. A compelling and energetic performer whose songs have been described as an unruly mix of humour, politics, love and social comment wrapping their way around the folk tradition. Songs like 'Another Train' and 'When We Sing Together' have become folk club standards and ...his performances are a joy.
