Wow myself and my husband donā€™t get many date nights so grabbed the opportunity when we were offered child care for the evening . We didnā€™t want to venture into the city centre wanted to be close to home. Gusto came highly recommended so thought great close to home and great review

The place was very warm and inviting lovely atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and service was spot on.

Food was also a huge thumbs up myself and my husband will definitely be having our next date night at Gusto ļæ½

Keep up the good work guys lovely place just what West Bridgford needed ļæ½ xxx

User

Tried the brunch menu for the first time this weekend and I wasnā€™t disappointed- an abundance of varied choice with a good amount of vegetarian options - some creative too like the avocado burger - Iā€™ll be returning ļæ½

Myself and 2 friends came to Gusto last night for the Robbie tribute night. He was superb our Robbie, had the diners thoroughly entertained. Could not fault Gusto in any way. Lovely staff that looked after us. A steak for me, pasta and risotto for the others. We all really enjoyed our meals. Nice bottle of chilled fizz whilst relaxing on the balcony. Was like being abroad! Will visit again soon. Highly recommend.

User

My sisters and me treated our Dad to a birthday lunch at Gusto. The food was delicious and the service was very good, our waitress, Beatrice, even sang Happy Birthday to my Dad when she brought him his dessert, so I now feel a bit awkward that I didnā€™t tip her (thought it was included in the bill, sorry Bea...). We would certainly go back.

User

Love it here, service is always great and so is the food and drink! any chance we have to celebrate we come to gusto šŸ‘Œ

User

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to put this post on but I just wanted to say thank you to all the staff. I came for a meal with some friends on 11/11/17 for my 50th birthday and they were fantastic. Service was amazing and my meal was adjusted to exactly what I wanted. Then to top it all, they brought out a beautiful birthday cake and sang happy birthday to me and everyone else in the restaurant joined in. Thank you for a lovely evening and we'll be back soon. ļæ½

User

I went with 7 friends last night (Friday) and the service was excellent. I rang the restaurant that day to ask about the dining club and they were so helpful (think I spoke to Dan (?) and then the dining club guy) which meant that after signing up online, we received 20 percent off the a la Carte menu. We had to mention this as it wasn't automatically taken off the bill, which is fine. The offer came home in my childrens school bags (I believe it's 40% on some weekdays). The decor was smart and cosy and the indoor trees looked amazing covered in fairy lights. We were served a complimentary bottle of bubbly upon arrival as we were celebrating two birthdays which was a great touch and made us feel very welcome. Our waiter was professional and friendly throughout and we couldn't have asked for more from him. Service was perfectly timed and we all enjoyed our food. He was very patient as it was ages before we were ready to order. The prices reflect the nice restaurant and were as expected. My friends who had birthdays had candles in their desserts and we all sang happy birthday along with our waiter and another member of staff. I really recommend this place for a special occasion and please pass on my thanks to our excellent waiter who ensured we had a great night.

User

Gusto is a really lovely place to eat in a beautiful setting. The pesto spaghetti is really good as is the sea bass and the non alcoholic cocktails. The staff are very friendly and have a good knowledge of the dishes and drinks on offer. About mid range when it comes to price. It was my second time at the restaurant and I would go again, especially for a celebration.

User

Celebrated my aunt's 70th birthday yesterday. Loved it, choice of food to suit everyone's taste, so even the fussy eaters were really happy. Staff were great, took photos for us and sang happy birthday when they brought the cake out. My aunt loved it, she had a pork chop which met her "Sunday dinner" requirements. Lasagne, burger, roast duck breast, lamb and flattened steak amongst the other mains. Thank you for looking after us so well šŸ˜€šŸ‘šŸ¾

User

AMAZING! We had a fantastic experience at Gusto celebrating my Mumā€™s Birthday. As a party of 6 we tried a wide variety of food and it was absolutely delicious; especially the tuna- wow!

The service was wonderful and the staff went above and beyond to make our evening special. A meal and experience to remember!

User

Went in on a quiet Monday afternoon as my two little girls keep asking to go to the restaurant ā€œwith the lights outside!ā€ I wasnā€™t sure if it was the sort of place you could nip into for a quick bite (especially with young children) but we had a lovely time. Really friendly, personal service. We just had drinks and desserts - the desserts were delicious. I love their vegetable smoothie and the girls had mixed fruit juices from the Bambini menu. Only negative is Iā€™d say Ā£4.50 for a childā€™s drink is expensive, even if it is a mocktail-type fruit juice combo. Also, we were given plastic straws (adults too) which we hadnā€™t asked for - such a shame as this is against their own policy! Anyway overall, a lovely place to pop into, weā€™ll be back :)

User

Love this place.

Beautifully decorated and inviting. Have yet to try the food but this is a great spot for a quick drink.

My only negative comment would be that in the bar area there are approximately 6 small tables and every time I've been here at least 2 members of staff have taken an entire table each to eat their dinners on or to chill out on their breaks. Yesterday's visit hosted a member of staff watching racing games on his iPad which was loud enough for all to hear and a waitress kissing her boyfriend at the bar! lol!

On the odd occasion the staff also like to use the tables to take a quick nap before a shift.

I think this is very unprofessional and not something I have seen in other restaurants/bars.

User

It was a nice surprise to see how much has been done to the refurb since it was the Monkey Tree, really good ambience and airy and light considering how busy it was - nice bar, love the decor. I was worried about the potential Slow service because they were so busy but couldnā€™t fault the waiting team on the evening. Great food for mains, the fillet steak and burger very good. Desserts were exceptional and itā€™s lovely (as an Italian) to see negroni featured not only on the menu but made really well and a good twist using Rosso martini!

Staff were smiley and friendly and thanks to ā€˜Beaā€™ for taking care of us.

My take on some of the negative reviews;

I always think these young teams often not paid super highly and who work very hard all night every weekend should be applauded - Running a restaurant is massively complex and hard work and food not being available or a little delay here or there Iā€™ll always be personally relaxed about as long as thereā€™s a smile and a bit of sincerity, so well done Gusto team. Will be back Iā€™m sure and thank you

User

I have been here for brunch, and dinner (not on the same daay, i might add)

- Brunch, i am a vegetarian, the food was good, but not outstanding, but the quality of service (and free mimosas) made up for that. Sat in the conservatory and was suitably impressed with the surroundings.

- Dinner was fantastic, great tasting food, and much better than brunch; however, drinks service was slow, there was only one person behind the bar and not many floor staff, which was a shame, i ended up cancelling our second set of drinks (two vanilla rums) as it was time to go and we had been there a while waiting for them. However, the staff took this on board incredibly well and apologised to us. Overall i had a great evening there!

The customer service here is excellent, and is the complete stand out of both times dining, it is definitely something to be praised.

Would reccomend.

User

Amazing food, BUT yesterday NYE we booked a table for 4 plus one high chair at 5pm. We were seated at a very small round table but there wasnā€™t enough room for us all and the food. A makeshift table (food tray which wasnā€™t the cleanest and stand) was put next to us so we could put food onto it. However the restaurant was largely empty and we could have been seated on a larger table. Plus of our main courses was incorrect, but that aside, overall the food was great.

User

3rd time. Gave it another chance as I wanted it to be so much better. Food very nice. Service very slow, waiting ages between courses and my request for drinks at the table on arrival not delivered. The surprise was spoilt. This is a great place, somehow though it seems disconnected with the staff and left and right donā€™t know how to work together.

User

Very disappointing eating experience! My husbands ribeye steak was 50% gristle!! He left half of it on the plate! My salmon main was barely tepid! The mussels starter was good, but the food and wine was well overpriced! I wouldnā€™t have minded if the food was delicious, but I wouldnā€™t recommend this restaurant to anyone else, there are too many good ones around. A shame really as the place itself was nice, and the staff were helpful and friendly ļæ½ļæ½

User

Disappointing experience for my birthday lunch (party of 5).

We went to Cote without booking and they were very full, so we tried Gusto, and I now know why they had so many free tables.

Very slow service, squid starter was very rubbery, waited ages (good 30min) for mains, only for the waiter (who was lovely) to come out and say one of the mains wasn't available, so an alternative had to be chosen, then we had to continue waiting for mains to arrive. When the mains were finished, again we waited and waited, and it wasn't until I got up looking for a loo that they noticed us and came to clear the tables. The desserts didn't take quite as long. When we were speaking to the server about our bill, we had to explain to him that ! person a la carte, 1 person having 3 courses, 2 people having main and pud, and 1 person having main and starter equated to 1 a la carte, 3 x 2 course meals and 1 x 3 course meals, not 1 a la carte, 3 x 2 course meals and 2 x 3 course meals, even then, the bill at the end wasn't clear...

Would I return? No

Would I recommend? No

Birthday meal what a let down pizza soggy tasteless had far better frozen pizza from lidl for Ā£1.99, polenta chips the size of doorsteps tasteless and under cooked and poor limited choice of desserts only 3 on offer.
