I am currently renting a chair off of Susan Felton (Austin) at Austins Hair Studio, 2A Artizan Road, Northampton. I have worked with Sue for 17 years and started off my career with her being my boss. I am now privileged that she has rented me a chair in her salon.

I have been hairdressing for around 20 years and also qualified as a beauty therapist but due to the fact that I talk a lot and was chatty throughout relaxing beauty treatments, I decided to make hairdressing my full time career. I still do the odd bit of beauty but not within the salon.

I have built up my clientele over the years and feel that I have gained friends, not just customers.

I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing from a basic cut to an outrageous colour. I love a challenge and nothing phases me. If I had to choose one aspect of hairdressing which I enjoy the most it would have to be colouring, this is because changing someones hair colour can be so dramatic and can make a person look and feel like somebody different.

My motto in hairdressing is 'try it, if you don't like it, we can always change it'.
