Hambleton Foodshare Description
Hambleton FoodShare is a community partnership which provides emergency food parcels for people who are struggling to feed themselves and their families.
The aim of this scheme is to provide a three-day emergency food parcel to people in temporary financial crisis who otherwise would have to go hungry due to their various circumstances. This could be because they have lost their job, become incapacitated or the result of a delay in benefit payments.
The volunteer-led FoodShare operates from Zion United Reformed Church Hall, off Northallerton High Street, every Monday between 4pm and 6pm.
This Facebook group is to publicise the Foodbank and also for people to find out what the Foodbank is in most need of and also events relating to the Foodbank
To receive an emergency parcel customers must be able to demonstrate their need primarily by being referred through an agency or by an initial self-referral. The agencies include Citizens Advice Bureau, Broadacres Housing Association, Hambleton District Council, GP surgeries and North Yorkshire County Council.

Urgent Shortages at the Foodbank we have run out of Hot Dogs Tinned pulses Tinned Green beans Cereal bars... Sponge Puddings Rice Pudding We are also running v short of UHT Milk, Curry Sauce, Toilet Rolls, Female deodorant, Tinned Potatoes and Powdered Potatoes, Ready Meals. The store is looking very depleted. Our donation points at Tesco and Sainsbury’s Northallerton, Co-op Bedale, Spar Aiskew, churches in Northallerton, Hambleton District Council Stone Cross, The Station Hotel, Hambleton Community Action offices. Thank you - all donations go towards helping those in temporary need. We issued 40 parcels last week at our mon evening session
