What Sundays are made for! Fabulous value Sunday Table d'hôte. We opted for Starters & Sunday Roasts, Beef was cooked to perfection as were the accompaniments, nice drop of Tempranillo from the acclaimed Ramon Bilbao too! Highly recommend!

User

We ate here recently, we arrived late due to a crash on the way, the staff were very understanding and still managed to give us a perfect seat for our evening. The staff were very helpful, polite and welcoming, the meal and atmosphere was exceptional. We would definitely eat here again and recommend to friends and family. Beautiful location overlooking the harbour

User

Was treated to a lovely roast beef dinner yesterday for Fathers day for my partner ( Thanks Tanya ) the food was delicious beef just melted in the mouth crispy home made roast potatoes and lots of fresh well cooked veg! service was great very friendly and efficient and the setting made us feel like we were on our holidays we will be back very soon many thanks

User

Literally had the best food here tonight. Very friendly staff and very reasonably price for the quality of the food!!

User

Highly recommend arrived after booking a table lovely quiet table ready with a chilled bottle of proseco. Sunday lunch was amazing very fresh and large portion size customer service second to non! Best place we have eaten in a long time

User

Had a meal with some friends on Saturday 12th May, Great food and great service. It’s a pity we live down south as would definitely visit again.

User

Had a lovely lunch yesterday, staff were helpful and the food was good at a reasonable cost, we sat in a window booth with a lovely view, my granddaughter was with us in her pram and we asked for a table that would accommodate the pram , this was no problem at all. After reading another review which commented about the child policy I’m wondering what that policy is ? Hopefully we will make this a regular lunch venue,

User

Had a fab night me and my friend for prosecco night as a belated birthday treat, food was lovely staff are friendly and chatty, been to harbour lights a few times always enjoyed coming here, lovely friendly place, nice atmosphere, left feeling merry after a good night, definitely would recommend coming here

User

First time visiting the restaurant since it changed 2 years ago and we wasn’t disappointed one bit, the service was really relaxed and the meal was lush

I had the rack of lamb with was amazing and so tender followed by the pecan and chocolate brownie which was amazing and tasty.

Highly recommend this venue to anyone which is in the area

User

Came for Sunday lunch today, amazing surroundings, and the restaurant it’s self was beautiful, the decor is beautiful, we came with family that were visiting and it certainly gave them the wow factor, all our meals were beautifully cooked, and so yummy! The only thing I would say is that after we had eaten our meals no one came to clear our plates away and we tried for quite some time to get the waiters eye for the bill, but it had got quite busy by that point.

I loved that the lady who seated us asked if she could take our coats-something I havnt seen in a restaurant in a Long time.

I also liked the note on the door that said about children, and that they are welcome but you don’t supply high chairs or children’s menu, now I have two children( both were with us) and I loved that there would only be very well behaved children in there, no screaming kids, and that the only option was to eat what us adults were eating. My sister and her partner really loved that the restaurant offered carafes of wine-wish I hadn’t been driving so I could of also enjoyed one! overall I really enjoyed it, it felt special-can’t want to come on an evening!

User

Booked a table for two on Saturday evening. Had a fantastic meal. Slight hiccup with the starter but was sorted quickly. The staff were all lovely and very attentive. If anything they were a bit too efficient! Lol we were in and out in about an hour.

The gin menu was great and the gin cocktail was gorgeous.

We had goats cheese bonbons for starter's which were lovely. I could have just sat and eaten a massive bowl of those. For mains I had the special cod and chorizo risotto, so tasty and the cod was really fresh. My husband had the ribs, the meat just fell off the bone and the sauce was delicious. The portions were generous and we didn't have room for dessert.

Very well decorated and chilled atmosphere, we will definitely be returning.

User

We have been on a few occasions and not been disappointed. We love the children policy...it was a pleasure to eat our meal without screaming* kids running around without proper parental supervision. We went for Sunday lunch. The main course was disappointing. We had chicken supreme....we thought it was in a sauce but it was a skinless chicken breast and was quite dry. Very small portions of veg to share. Dessert was lovely though. We won’t be put off.....will try again sometime.

User

Spur of the moment decision to find Harbour Lights after attending and event at the Showground. Both of the staff members who looked after us during our visit we very polite and attentive. As we had our Scottie Dog with us so we chose to sit al fresco for our lunch and the Mariana setting is delightful. We ate from the lunch menu and both of us opted for the fishcakes and triple cooked cooks and everything was faultless. Only issue was and this is no reflection on the staff but the water bowl outside had been used as an ashtray. As soon as I asked for water for the dog they hastily came outside with a dish of fresh water for him.

User

Had a lovely family meal in a super setting. Menu had something to suit everyone at reasonable prices. Also good varied gluten free options too! Staff are welcoming and helpful - nothing too much trouble. We were lucky enough to have a 100% off voucher with our secret Christmas envelope so that made it an even better evening out! Thank you Harbour Lights!!!

User

Food was excellent, beautiful location, understaffed though, it was quite a wait, getting our drinks, taking our food order, and getting our food. The staff were very friendly but rushed off there feet. Will return to see if it was just a one off hiccup!

User

We had booked a table for my mother’s 60th birthday on a Sunday, 9 people with 2 children and 1 baby, no children’s menu were supplied and was originally told a smaller or cheaper option for kids could not be supplied. There was no high chairs for smaller children also, they then told us they do not accommodate for children, which should of been highlighted to us when we booked as we did state there would be 3 children. When we arrived we ordered our meals, after waiting almost an hour for our starters we asked if the food would be out soon, the starters arrived with most being soup, after we all received our food we had to ask for spoons and additional condiments. We then waited over an hour for our mains to arrive, after having to ask once again how long the food would be. I had the lamb which was nice but 2 members of our party had chicken which was very dry and inedible. We had a birthday cake with us to present to our mother after our meals, we gave this to a member of staff when we arrived. After we had finished we asked if they could bring out the cake to which they said they could not as they don’t allow cakes to be cut in the restaurant we said this was fine as we just wanted to sing happy birthday, after some hesitation the waitress agreed in turn ruining the birthday cake ‘surprise’. Overall poor service and staff needed to be prompted for a lot of things

User

Went in for tapas, all came out cold and had to ask for missing dishes. After complaining we reordered a steak and burger, steak was fine but burger came RAW. not pink and cooked but RAW after waiting half hour
