We took our 8yr old son for breakfast with Santa today. The food was great and great price. Our son loved chatting with Santa and overall a great experience for the whole family. Would recommend it.

We came for the beer festival on Friday night (which was excellent by the way) and decided to have an impromptu meal whilst we were there, which we both thoroughly enjoyed.

At a time when we are being told to eat more vegetables for good health, i despair that you rarely see any on your plate at most places. Not so at the Harrington Arms and for that alone i am going to keep coming back.

My husband's one complaint is that his fish and chips should have been served on a plate, not a wooden board.

Other than that one gripe, we have to say that we did not have to wait long, the service was good and the food very tasty.

User

Really pleasant pub with a nice atmosphere , great food and good choices for beverages. Friendly staff especially the lady with dark blonde hair who was working yesterday and the very tall bloke , very polite , and a good laugh. Will be back.

User

Lovely food, best mixed grill we've had and the service was good with very attentive staff. Huge beer garden that hosts the best drinks festival

User

I’ve eaten here many times. Beautiful food, served timely, polite and attentive staff in a comfortable and homely environment.

Had a very small wedding and chose this to have a quick and intimate meal on our wedding day before my hubby and I went off on our honeymoon. The staff were impeccable and everyone enjoyed themselves.

User

I love it here! Lovely food for really good prices and the Staff are friendly. We went tonight to celebrate two birthdays, the waitress couldn’t do enough for us and then they surprised us with ‘burn the bill’! Really made our evening and the food was delicious!

User

I had a lovley unexpected day with my family. Staff and food simply lovley. Weather great. Our little dogs made welcome. Thumbs up you guy's.

User

Here for the the beer festival. Fantastic evening on Saturday. Music excellent as was the company. For all those complaining about the food service get over your selves. I suppose this modern form of repoting is the. Scurge of modern society. Best thing to do folks is stay at home or go somewhere else. By the huge crowds you could see it wasn't going to be the best of evenings for dining.

From the glass collectors to bar staff and chefs give your selves a round of applause. See ya next year.

User

Great food and a great atmosphere the service and choice of beers is excellent

User

Been here twice now within a couple of days between each of them we had different meals each time we came couldn’t fault them good size portions ...I couldn’t eat it all to big for me but food was lovely and reasonably priced to staff also were helpful and friendly will definitely be returning x

User

Been here many times and never had any reason not to return. I have been to most of the beer festivals which are definitely very popular as people come from fair distances for a great weekend of drinks and live music. Most recent was last night to watch England go out to Croatia but that's not the fault of Nicki and team. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone who has never been before.

User

Alway love popping when im back over and seeing all the staff hay tom lovely food and you are made so welcome see you all again soon xxx

User

Very nice atmosphere friendly staff only complaint on Mother’s Day was the wait for the desert hour but apart from that experience was good I understand it was very busy

User

Lovely pub, lovely meals, good friendly service and a nice atmosphere. A roaring fire greeted us, interior all trimmed up with Christmas decorations, looking and feeling very festive. Spent 5 hours there with family who live in area, after we travelled down from Hull...we defo picked a good place!

User

Been here a few times now and the staff are friendly. There is always plenty of food on the plate, but the food is never hot, it's only warm. By the time you get half way through your meal it's verging on cold! The broccoli was undercooked and there wasn't enough gravy. We asked for another pot of gravy but it came after we had finished our meal, which was 4.30pm on a Monday, so the kitchen staff weren't exactly rushed off their feet!

User

Went here last night for a meal with my family who were visiting. What was meant be the end to a lovely few days ended in disappointment due to the very slow service. I had to chase the order 3 times and on each occasion being told it was being plated up.....an hour later the food arrived, the fish was dry, the batter verging on dark brown and the butter rising like a mountain that had been slapped on the bread. The children with us were so hungry due to the delays, as were the adults. Looking around the room another party were experiencing similar delays. The bill was adjusted but such a disappointing experience.

I would recommend if you can't keep up with large numbers tell your customers there may be a delay in order for them to make a decision on whether they stay or go somewhere else and if they do stay to at least produce good quality food.

User

Very disappointed with dinner ladies Christmas meal, crammed in, waitress left halfway thru drinks order and didn't come back, longest wait ever for food, but lovely company a once a year treat can honestly say our school Christmas dinner was better, watery soup, crayfish? Cocktails, very very average, sorry ladies x

User

My first experience of eating here today and sad to say it will be my last. Over priced food & drink and not even of good quality. Had to return meals because they were cold and take back drinks because they didn’t taste right. Staff were good though and sorted out our problems without any fuss.

User

I went last night to this pub with my family, a night that was meant to end a lovely few days turned into disappointment.

Table booked for 6.45 eventually received our meal over an hour later, not much fun with three hungry children and adults. Apparently they were inundated with orders! (not my problem) After being told the meal was being plated up it took a further 6 minutes to arrive. The fish was dry, and the batter was so over cooked it left a burnt taste in my mouth. Hard to see how food can be over cooked when it's so late!
