EXCITING EASTER BUNNY UPDATE
The Easter Bunny has a supply of Easter Eggs, for a donation of ┬Ż2.00 per egg the Easter Bunny will deliver an Easter Egg to your doorstep on Easter Sunday.
If you would like to receive a special contactless delivery on Easter Sunday please send a message to our page.
Payments are to be made via Paypal by Saturday 11 April, this is only available in Hartwell, we are unable to give you an exact time we will be delivering but will share rough timings of when we will be in each street on the Hartwell Preschool Facebook page.
Limited number of eggs available first come first served.

Our letter of the week, this week is 'S'. The children can practice this by saying 'sssssss' like a snake and then slither down the snake to practice writing it. They can also practice this in the air with their finger, on the ground with chalk, with a stick in the mud, in flour / icing sugar / sugar with their finger, on a whiteboard if you have one or any other way you can think of!
Please send us pictures of your child practici...ng and anything they can find starting with the letter 'S' via Tapestry. We loved seeing last week's updates from you.

At the end of an extremely difficult and unsettling week, we have heavy heartedly closed our doors until further notice. We will all miss those smiley faces, funny stories, big cuddles and adventures immensely. We cannot wait to welcome the children back for more of the above. It is with a heavy heart we have had to take the decision to postpone the annual Easter Egg Hunt.
We hope to be able to have a belated Egg Hunt later in the year.

Week commencing 16th March 2020:
The home corner will be a Cafe. We are looking forward to choosing from our menus, taking orders with notepads, paying at the till and eating our delicious food together.
We will also be exploring sounds and rhythms with our musical instruments!

The children have enjoyed playing in the Beauty Salon this week. A big ŌĆ£thank youŌĆØ to a former Pre School parent who very kindly donated a vanity table and stool after seeing our post at the weekend. ­¤śŹ­¤ż®

Week Commencing 9th March 2020:
Home corner will be a hairdressers and beauty salon. ­¤śŹ We are excited to welcome a parent on Wednesday to talk about her job as a hairdresser.
Following World Book Day last week weŌĆÖre reading some of our favourite books. Showing awareness of rhyme and alliteration, joining in with repeated refrains and suggesting how a story may end.
... We shall be using the tablets for completing simple programs and showing that information can be retrieved from computers.

The children have been identifying shapes in and out of the setting this week. On our Mini Explorers session, they spotted many different shapes in the village including: Circular drain covers, triangular road signs, oval house numbers, crosses on the church, triangular porches and roof tops, diamonds in fences and a love heart and broken heart (defibrillator). Well done on some super observations!
