Took the kids for birthday treat. Their portions were great. Good choices and excellent price too. Salad bar nice and fresh and good service. Will be using it again. Been for breakfast a few times before as everything is cooked fresh

Our server was George and he looked after us very well. I seem to expect when you have vouchers that you are sometimes treated differently but this wasn't the case. He was very helpful when we needed help with what we could choose from the menu and nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely and the 2 steaks were.cooked to perfection. We will be using this resturant again very soon

I was really surprised! The service was very good, staff pleasant. I had the fillet steak which I can honestly say was the best I have had for a long time, perfectly cooked and tasty!

Had a lovely dinner with my family here. The portion sizes where just right, not to much or to little. The salad bar, warm bread and lots of sauce choice area was lovely ; Especially as it is free. The place was spotless. Even though it was Saturday night and quite busy it felt very calm and relaxed. The staff where so polite and attentive. I had the quarter chicken and ribs only little moan the ribs could have had more sauce but I just used normal sauce so it was fine. My two boys and burgers and ribs of the kids menu and there was plenty on there plates and great size burgers. The other two adults with me had the gammon and where very impressed especially with the pineapple being a fresh big slice. We will definitely be going back 😁

Lovely meal. Salad bar well stocked. I had the sirloin steak. Cooked as I like it. The only small moan was the onion rings. When I've had them any where they are round but these where small squares and I didn't like them so much. But on the whole service was good and meal was lovely just the onion rings stopped me giving it a 5 star rating.

Service great, meals OK but nothing special.

What has happened to the salads that used to be so wonderful?

These are the focal point of Harvesters.

Very little choice and too much cheaper veg, just one couscous and pasta.

Salad bar was virtually empty at least 6 of the containers needed topping up. 2 rolls left in the bread baskets. Gone downhill since I went last not in a hurry to return.

Our food was very nice but I ordered for my daughter who loves bangers and mash at home but last night the sausage skins were hard and the mash was frozen instant mash which she just spat out

Shocking service! Not at all busy, and was in there 2 hours to get 2 courses for 3 people

Rubbish service slow , out of stock grilled salmon , very limited gluten free . Veggie gluten free rubbish

Must have changed chefs or menu again. Service was ok. Breakfast was rank. Eggs dry, tomato undercooked, bacon loaded with fat, dirty coffee mug. Sausages were only edible part. On flip side cheap if you're desperate.

Absolutely awful experience, went Saturday 7th, table of 10 adults, 1 child, 1 baby, food ok, some over cooked, paid bill over £150. Went Sun 8th for breakfast 8 adults & 1 child, absolutely awful, ordered 3 hot drinks, 2 arrived, 1 had to be asked for again, plates in continental area dirty or wet, waited 50 minutes for our breakfast, had to ask when our breakfast was going to arrive as our 6 year old was getting fed up, only then did it start to appear. Food then came on dirty plates, cold beans, uncooked bacon, incorrect orders. Called for manager, said was not happy with wait time, not happy to pay for the food we'd been presented with, didn't eat my meal, 6 year old didn't eat his, 2 others didn't eat theirs. Old plates, bowls were not collected from table to make way for our breakfast, poor service. At 11.25 we finally had situation resolved. This is the 2nd Harvester in 6 months that hasn't been of a satisfactory let alone good standard, puts you off going to anymore Harvesters!! Standards need to improve, checking crockery cutlery are clean, waiting staff need to clear tables, chefs need training in cooking desirable / edible food & presenting it on clean plates with pride not slopping the beans on so it dribbles down the side and under the plates.

Very Disappointed �

3 of us went for tea on Fri 6th July. Service wasn't the best but you could have put up with it if the food was good, but it wasn't! Chips were rank, the fish was so greasy it was gross! The salad was not nice and looked and tasted like it had been out for hours and the white rolls were like bricks! But apart from that just great. Needless to say I WONT be going back

Went for breakfast with Santa. Shown to table given menus and she walked off. Waited over ten minutes for our waitress to appear (after asking) granddaughter was getting restless so we had let her have some cereal from continental. The breakfast with Santa cost for a child was £5 and we didn’t know what this included. Apparently not the continental bit. Waitress agreed not to add on for that. We then chose the all in x 3 adults and proceeded to head to the continental bar. It was very busy with queues for toast and coffee. Sat down with my fruit and yoghurt and hot arrived.are you kidding I asked. I am paying for the all in so would like to be able to enjoy it. It was taken away. I then had to ask how thevSanta thing worked he had walked through saying hohoho... oh you just go over to him where he is sitting. Other people had arrived not booked for Santa and ordered a kids £1.99 meal (which is what my granddaughter had in the price£3 was for the gift from Santa) yes you can’t say no but the little girl on table next to us went over and got a gift) not sure ic it was explained but I didn’t hear it being and so we paid for something we could have saved £3 on. Very badly managed

Went for Christmas lunch today party of 9

Was sat to the right of the door and it was opened and held open or left open we sat in a forceful wind blowing through the doors not a very warm welcome our food went cold before we finished it

The Custard was served cold to start with on complaining we had the drinks removed from our already paid bill 7 soft drinks and 1 beer

All in all not a great family occasion we were so cold we left as soon as possible

The cost of this event £350 I want to make it clear I am extremely unhappy I doubt I will receive a reply �

This place can never cope with large groups , then insist in serving over cooked food and serving it together

They said my meal should have squash but they ran out so l was having steam veg... (was l, no choice?) which came with the ruined salmon (over cooked) to which l said and where is the broccoli? Forgotten... the 5 others realise theirs was missing. Plus one said her meal was disgusting as over cooked and just not eatable... no wonder we have not been here in years ... no change

Terrible place, you complain no one listens, it’s a corporate business model making hundreds of thousands of pounds so they don’t care about individual complaints, rubbish food, empty salad bar, rubbish place avoid at all cost!

Simply chicken and BBQ chicken stack ordered. The jacket potato with the Simply chicken wasn't cooked properly and the chicken had no flavour what so ever. The chips on the BBQ Chicken stack had been refried and the chicken was greasy and over cooked. We asked for the check, not looking to complain and the waitress kindly knocked one meal off the bill. Riverside harvester for us in future

Not a happy chappie, I don't normally complain, but Saturday, a group of us came in for dinner, We waited nearly an jour before the meal arrived, but ok ypu may have been busy. I ordered an ultimate mixed grill. Not impressed. Should have has a full rack of ribs. Had three ribs, burnt so much there was nothing to eat on them as it was charcoal, sausages not cooked properly, steak was still running around the plate, when I had ordered medium rare, I think l the cook must have had the hump. 20 quid wasted. I then asked the waitress for a pint of Bud, 15 minutes later I had to ask where it was, later I asked for a glass of wine, same thing happened, had to go to the bar and ask where it was as the waitress wasn't anywhere in sight.



I didn't complain at the time as I didn't want to ruin the evening for the family even more.



The evening cost over a hundred pounds, that's why I'm complaining.
